News: No more cover-up on Cedar Point's Project 2007

Do some of you people realize how stupid you sound? Seriously, this is the easiet the park has ever made it to figure out what they are putting in, yet some of you defy all reason and try to find some other (asinine) explanation for what is presented to you. There's logical speculation and then there's the mindless drivel with no basis for the conclusion that some of you guys are posting.

Want to hear speculation in line with the current information known?

Mega-looper. Possibly/probably a record breaker. Maybe launched, maybe not, but if the park wants the layout to remain as compact as possible it will have a launched section of track--maybe more than one.

It may or may not stay within the confines of the current construction site, but markings just outside of the construction site would hint that it will venture outside in some fashion. This may lead to the relocation or removal antique Cars, Wave Swinger, and the haunted house building.

Quit searching for fairies and unicorns...

That is hillarious and I agree with all you said 100%... Sometimes the discussions that go on here make me question the future of humanity...

Well said CP_bound. I personally wish that some of these people would stop trying to out do each other with stupid meaningless posts. A little bit of fun is ok sure, but c'mon people, its a red intamin coaster of some sort. If you really believe that this particular ride could still be a B&M, you might as well argue that its going to be a wooden CCI as well.

Although I think CPBound has a good explanation, can we rule out Aquatrax yet? It appears to me that it uses standard Intamin triangular track. But if these pieces are for an overbank.... Does Atlantis Adventure have any overbanks?

I don't know, dosen't mean it can't have one...

Adam...You rode the Aquatrax in Seoul? I thought that was the only one in the world....

Ripcord Crew 2002 / MF Crew 2004

I think he might mean Journey to Atlantis.

He, he, oops my bad...I read it too fast and thought you were talking about "Journey to Atlantis" at the Sea World parks. I mean come on, they both have "Atlantis" in their name. :P

But no I havent ridden the Aquatrax in Seoul.

There is something very sneeky going on here. I don't think that this track is for Cedar Point...

It is for Cedar Point. Simply put, the cost of shipping several hundred tons of steel is far too significant to warrant justification, just to mislead a few hundred enthusiasts.

Jeff has been saying all along, it will be an Intamin. Cedar Point is revealing track pieces and saying "Oh, you got us, we can't trick you." and on and on.

Cedar Point just knows that there really is no point in trying to hide it any longer. The pics are out there, so why should they bother? There's no conspiracy.

There might be another coaster with this... One in a location away from WWL and the attention is taken away from it. Maybe that's what T&T meant when they said the path always taken may not be the correct choice.

If there were another site where construction were in progress, we would know about it. There are too many people here who go to the park on a weekly basis that are constantly on the lookout for anything out of the ordinary.

Brandon

there COULD be another site to start construction after the park closes. there's nothing ruling that out yet. but, i doubt they would have track show up now for a coaster they MAY start in the off-season. that wouldn't make any sense - scheduling wise.

i'm still trying to figure out why they started so early. hopefully its a good reason (for us at least!).

Doubtful. I mean, all it takes is a singular spraypaint marking, and within hours pics are posted, theories are generated and 500-footer talk has begun around here.

Oh wait - what if CP is using INVISIBLE SPRAYPAINT?!?!? ;)

And, according to Jeff, the design of the ride is why they have started so early. Of course, what that means is anyone's guess.

Every day I come to this site, I'm baffled by the insanity that people type and submit to this forum. I'm dumbfounded that people come up with these ridiculous theories.

I don't usually say much- I prefer reading as opposed to posting. Anyway, I am surprised by the stupidity presented by certain individuals on here as well.

I believe the reason construction has began so early is because this ride will be heavily themed. When I visited Knott's last year I had the opportunity to ride their Log ride- it was so cool! It's built into a man-made mountain much like Splash Mountain at Disney. I think this ride will have a mountain as well. This will be constructed around some of the track, and (if my theory is correct) will really look awesome back in forntier town. The grand finale turn will be around the former swan pond. ~~~Intamin family oriented water coaster, heavily themed mountain involved, very marketable, very fun!

Oh, how I would love to see something like that in FT. I'm not holding my breath, though.

I think what Tilt-a-Whirl said is very possible.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Am I the only one amused by the fact that the majority of common sense posts here originate in medina county ;)....lol who woulda thunk it.

As far as two coasters being built, doesnt anyone remember the last time a park around here built more than one coaster in a year? Yeah, that worked out great for them didnt it ;)

of course you can say that jeff...you know what it is

please dont act smart

Tilt-a-whirl, I think you should start posting more often. So far you have had one of the more intelligent opinions of all.
