Im glad I got a chance to ride it on Saturday!

What a rush...a great thrill...although, a but short. I thought they could extend the 54 second (approx.) ride cycle just a little...but then again, doesnt every ride end too soon?

^Not if you went yesterday.

Serously, maXair has been closed more often than TTD on all my trips. Skyhawk looks like its joining it.

Maybe all of your trips, but certainly not mine.

One thing that has been bothering me are the descriptions given for Skyhawk & Maxair. SH is described as swinging like a swing, while Maxair is described as swinging like a pendulum. What in the name of all that is holy is the confounded difference? I guess its the PR folks making every effort to differentiate the two, but geez.

EDITED for low-caffeine induced poor grammar.

I have to agree with you about MaxAir, Gomez...while I love the ride, it is more problematic than TTD in my opinion as well. I must live in a twilight zone episode, b/c whenever we go, TTD is running perfectly, yet MaxAir is closed for 90% of the day. Delirium (just like MaxAir) at Kings Island is just a problematic.

Looks like I will be there Saturday for a half day, unless my girl will let me go on Sunday. My mom is in New York for Mothers Day... So instead of going to her moms, I should be able to go ridin.

Delirium is at Kings Island. :)

Webcam (it's on my desktop at work) is showing lots of people lining up and riding SH. Looks like its back up.

Yep. I jsut saw them testing a while ago and I guess its ready again.

I just saw those arms swinging high above the trees. Don't know if people are on, or are they just testing.

Did you read any posts before making your own?

Sorry

It looks like right after they opened it, there was a sudden rush of people. I wonder if they anounced it or not.

The ride announces itself when it runs. :)

maXair and TTD were both up when I went in May last year and both down when I went in October. Kinda sad really.

And SH is back up, at least according to the CP webcam.

Glad to see that it looks like Skyhawk is up and running again!

Skyhawk is powered down when it swings, where as MaXair just sort of lets gravity bring it back down and is then powered a little bit more to go up higher.

In simple terms, Skyhawk is powered both up AND down, whereas MaXair is only powered up! I'm pretty sure thats how it is. Thats what causes the intense airtime on Skyhawk!

Hope that explanation helped out some! ;)
