Next Coaster for Cp

Just wanted to throw this topic out, if it hasnt already been brought up as to what will be the next coaster you think they should or will get. Personally, I want them to get a floorless or even better a Kumba clone or similar type ride. If they do, I think it would definitely make the park complete?

I think the next coaster will be a sit down giant looper. I hope they go with Intamin, they already have two B&M loopers and I'd like to see something fresh. From what I understand, the floorless trains don't add all that much to the ride experience.
I'd like to see another B&M looper. Preferably a floorless since they don't have one and I only sit in the front of B&Ms so I will get that floorless feel. I wouldn't mind either if were just a simple sit down B&M either. If the capacity wasn't so low I'd say maybe even a laydown coaster like Stealth. I think they should get a floorless, a expanded layout woodie (one that doesn't criss cross like Mean Streak but covers more park, like Blue Streak), or a launched coaster. I rode Rockin' Roller Coaster at Disney MGM and I didn't think the launch aspect made too much of a difference. Once you get past the intitial 3 seconds of acceleration it's just like any other ride. However, it would be kinda nice to add to their "collection." Just some thoughts....
I'll start thinking next coaster after my Cedar Point trip this year is done and over with. New ideas come up for coasters a lot. What I would want now, maybe old two or three years down the road when ever CP builds it.

Check this out go to screamscape.com the go to the news and rumor section then scroll down to Cedar Point. There is a new rumor about CP. It talks about a LIM-Coaster.
How many topics can we possibly have that deal with Cedar Point's next coaster?
Personally I am sick of this topic. I mean we haven't even ridden the world's tallest, fastest, and greatest roller coaster and people are already worried about the next coaster???????

Don't write in on this topic then...some people like speculating
cppsyclone, thats why he said personally, it was just a comment. Yes this topic is old, but I think in 2002 they will build a wooden coaster (built by CCI, I HOPE!)

ReLiC
I want to see a huge G/CCI wooden. I love mean streak and blue streak, so maybe a big wodden with some kind of inversion. Oh yea, bye the way, does anyone know how SOB is guna stay on the track thru the inversion?

Once again, I'll say I hope the next CP coaster is a wooden Cy-clone in a boardwalk project :)

As for the floorless, personally I think it DOES add a bit to the ride experience, at least in the front. B&M sitdown loopers are great anyway, even if the floorless bit is a "gimmick" :)
Hmmmm, I really don't see CP going for a Cy-clone. I mean, there are a couple other parks out there with Cy-clones. I don't see CP going that route. I think whatever it is, it will be something that not too many parks have or an improved version of a type of ride.
Of course...what do I know...I just learned this year what a cobra roll is.

I don’t think CP will build a small wooden or cyclone type coaster next. When is the last time CP built a coaster that was not the highest or fastest or steepest for that particular coaster type (not counting the kiddie coasters)? I would love to see a good medium sized wood coaster, I just don’t how one would be good from a marketing prospective. I would not be surprised to see one of those thrust-air coasters if they are popular at other parks. CP could easily build one of those bigger then MF and that would be draw people to the park.

But how long will it take CP to add another coaster? The last major coaster that was built was the Mantis in 1996. And I consider Woodstock's Express built in 1999 to be a minor coaster, not a major one. So I guess that what I am getting at is how long are they (CP) going to make us wait?

Of course two years later in 1998, CP presented Power Tower. While not a coaster, it was still a major ride in its own right. So any ideas on what CP will do for next year?
I think that CP bulds a major attraction/coaster every two years. Who knows in two years they could built an extreme thrill ride like Power Tower. But I think it will be a coaster just to keep up w/ the "coaster war".
Ok. Im curious. What exactly is a thrust air? can u give me an example and the park it is it please. thanks

Thrust Air 2000 is the new prototype from S&S. It uses the same technology as Power Tower to launch its trains. The trains consist of huge pneumatic tires (completely diffrent from the typical rollercoaster wheel), shocks, and a new restraint system. The newly designed track consists of I-beam rails. It goes 0-85 in just under 2 seconds. Then has a vertical climb of 178feet, then right over the top turning 180degrees to a complete vertical dive. It looks awesome!
If you want more info check out the S&S website at s-spower.com

Also, no park currently has one of these installed....the only one installed is in Utah at the S&S plant.
