Can someone tell me when 7 x 40 became 240?

Right around the time NCLB became a good thing. ;)

Taxes.

The city needs their cut, so that's how 7 x 40 = 240 dollars of income.

40 riders a day?

Please, it's way below that unless it's a really busy day..which happens like once every two weeks.

I'm lookin at it this way:
7 dollars to ride.
Probably an average of 40 riders per day if not more.
So they're bringing in 240 dollars a day, if not more.

Sorry for the typo. My totals were still correct though.

And they still didn't make money.

On really busy days we had over 100 jumpers. I know we averaged 40 jumpers per day. Even on the slowest days during the summer we had at least 20. If we say the average was 30 jumpers a day the trampolines still made about 8,000 a year.

Last time I checked, insurance wasn't free.

It may not be free but they pay the same for insurance whether the trampolines are there or not, so essentially it is free.

I already explained this.

There is no such thing as free insurance.

So you're saying that CP pays more insurance because of the Extreme Trampolines?

JuggaLotus's avatar

Yes. Do you think an insurance company just gives away coverage?

It may not be much more, but it does affect their insurance bill.

At the very least they carry liability insurance on it. I wouldn't be surprised if they carry property insurance on many of the rides as well.

Especially after what happened to the last ride that stood where the trampolines currently sit... ;)

Those pictures are awesome. Especially the one from the top of Maverick's hill.

That is the first time I have seen the fog that thick. I couldn't even see Blue Streak while driving next to it today.

We averaged 20 per day. 40 on some occasions, and 100 like two times from the year?

They pay our salaries. Per hour. And sometimes we don't get jumpers for four hours straight.

And then there's the injuries, and, insurance.

And the electricity for them.

And the maintenance and parts for them.

If they made money, we'd be keeping them.

That's not the case.

Now shut up.

Not sure if you read my previous post, but I took all of that into account already.

I'll let the idea rest though. The original topic was the Skyscraper, which looks really fun. The fog is also pretty thick, not as thick as my first day of work, but thick nonetheless.

The thought of you wandering in a confused haze stuck in a corner in Fear Faire greatly amuses me. :)
