Opening day fireworks webcam?

Does anyone know if there will be any webcam's on the opening day fireworks?

the funcoast cam faces that way, but is black and white at night and usually refreshed every 3 seconds, so I'm not sure how well that will go for fireworks.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Could you give me the link to it please?

The funcoast cam would be your best bet if you want to watch it that badly.

I dont know why Cedar Point would have one, considering it is a rather large area of the sky to encompass and the webcams they use refresh every minute. Setting up one for one night, have it refresh every minute for about 10-15 minutes to display something that SHOULD be seen in a live stream ot be appreciated, and then to only take it down and never use it there again is kinda pointless, imo.

I was just checking over at the cedar point website and I clicked on the link to "opening day fireworks" and found this...

"This special display, which will be set to music, will be fired from the beach near the Aquatic Stadium and Disaster Transport at approximately 10 p.m."

So I am thinking that the maxair view is the only camera that may be able to see it other than the cleveland.com camera. I dont know for sure though.

Cedar Point - An adventure waiting for everyone.

Funcoast cam should be able to see it. The maXair cam is probably not aimed high enough, and even if it was, it wouldn't be capturing images. Also, the cleveland cam is not facing the right direction. *** Edited 5/8/2005 12:42:13 AM UTC by Maniaman***

so did anyone catch the Amazing 20 min+ show on the funcoast cam... it looked great from where i was sitting on the bench outside the park after a great day!!!

"If it looks good, you'll see it; if it sounds good, you'll hear it, if it's marketed right, you'll buy it; but... if it's real, you'll feel it."

I sort of watched it while I was wrapping Mother's Day presents. It was kind of hit-and-miss. I was actually surprised that there were a few pretty good shots. Obviously, seeing it muted, in black and white, in a little 3 inch box on my laptop screen wasn't quite as cool as the real thing, but it was interesting none the less. That being said, I wouldn't have watched it if I hadn't been doing my least favorite thing chore ever.

Are you sure this isn't the Atlantic Ocean?

GO TIGERS!

I caught parts of it from Dragster, it started right after my rollback, so we sat there and watched that while waiting to be launched again.

I was at the park last night, the fireworks were awesome! The ending was great, and I'm thinking that they are hinting at something for the 4th of July...

I watched a good majority of the show while riding maXair. Fireworks upside down... fun stuff.

I walked over to the beach, a little past the hotel, and I was really disappointed. I was hoping more from Cedar Point, at least some music or something.

Oh well, it was cool just to be there :)

First post, hehe! *** Edited 5/9/2005 12:46:10 AM UTC by GeeForce***

Here are pics of the opening day fireworks, I forgot the tripod so I guess they could be better. There are some from the 4th of July last year along with MaXair night pics that may interest you.

Fireworks were great, we watched them from the breakers hot tub. Imo it was the best place to see them.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
