Abba: The Movie from 1977 is really creepy.

Good News! As an avid Brian Wilson fan, I can assure you that the classic instrumental track "Wipe Out" was not recorded by the Beach Boys, but the Surfaris. The Beach Boys did collaborate with the rap group the Fat Boys in 1987 or so on a hip-hop remake of the tune, but I'm pretty sure no one wants to hear that at Soak City... I think it would be cool if they played more surf music, rather than just the Beach Boys ultimix they played to death. I used to love how the Bubbles adult pool would play some obscure Jimmy Buffett album cuts. Those would be welcome....

Sounds like you could use a trip to MI Adventure's water park. If they aren't playing the Kidz Bop versions of current songs, they are playing those same 10ish beach-y "oldies" songs on repeat all day everyday.

Oh Lord. If you're the type that thinks modern pop is an affront to music, then Kidz Boo is an affront to an affront to music. Eugh.

Proud 5th Liner and CP fan since 1986.
