Raptor replaced Mill Race. It also caused Calypso and Midway Carousel to be moved.

Disaster Transport caused WildCat, Super Himalaya and Matterhorn to be moved.

Monster also had to be moved because of Iron Dragon.

I thought the Dodgem by Magnum was removed in2003 when they started on Dragster.

CP&LE has been "moved" (had its course altered) multiple times for multiple rides. Millennium Force, Maverick and a couple others that I can't for the life of me think of at the moment.

1998 park map shows dodgem by magnum,1999 map doesn't.

The old Dodgem was moved to Michigan's Adventure, building and all, in 2003. Swan Boats moved there I think in 2006.

Swan Boats closed in 2003. I would assume they opened at MiA in 2004 but it could of been 2006.

Frontier lift was closed, then Iron Dragon was built.

It's interesting to note that in the space of two years, the park will have shed four rides--at least two of which were high maintenance, and maybe three: PWE, WC, DT, and SS. In exchange, basically, they're getting one 'E' ticket attraction. I foresee maintenance expenditures possibly declining in 2013 from 2011-2012.*

*I purposely excluded the maintenance costs of Dinosaurs Alive (which is also a replacement attraction for one of those four), as I believe the contractor for DA, Dinosaurs Unearthed, includes maintenance as part of their contract with Cedar Fair.

Swan Boats were at Michigan's Adventure in 2004. 2005 for sure as they're in some pictures I have from that year.

I just remembered the Schwabinchen was removed for Chaos, which was moved for TTD. On top of the Troika moving and now Chaos has been removed also.

Somebody seriously ought to start making trading cards for these rides...

*light bulb goes on over head*

Edit: I originally typed 'playing cards', which are something completely different and in fact already exist.

Actually, I think they built a new building at Michigan's Adventure that looked uncannily like the building at Cedar Point. But if I remember right, the Cedar Point building was wood, the Michigan's Adventure building, as you would expect at Michigan's Adventure, is cinder block.

It sure looked like they just picked up the building and moved it, though!

I really think it's the same building.

Here is a photo of MA's Dodgem that I took back in 2002:

The building looks very similar to CP's old Dodgem 1, but there are enough differences to make one question whether it is the same building:

If all the players are ready...at the sound of the bell, ROLL EM!

The building in Michigan is concrete block construction. You can kind of see that in the picasaweb photo that Routunda_Chillin posted. Particularly, look at the textured part of the wall where the blue stripe is.

But of course, when they built that building, they exhibited typical 2000's-era Cedar Fair creativity.

Brought to you by the people who gave you 'Back Lot Stunt Coaster', 'Drop Tower' and that utter gem, 'Flight Deck'...

An interesting tidbit, slightly unrelated - the old WildCat apparently, according to RCDB, became Wild Rails/Rails at Valleyfair, and then was moved again Jolly Roger Amusement Park. However, the WildCat we knew until this year was likely the one moved to put in Avalanche Run, because Wildcat (the newer one that just was removed) has a 1979 opening year. I never knew about Matterhorn and Super Himalaya being moved for it.

Not likely.

It was the one that was moved for Avalanche Run.
