RMC Streak Photo Update - May 7, 2017

Anybody here think there will be enough speed through the 3rd lap for one of those "extended inversion"s (whatever they are called, see "Goliath" and "Twisted Colossus")? I was silently rooting for one of those, taken to a new extreme in terms of length... even if an extra 5 feet.

I love those extended inversions. I was hoping for one too.

Maverick. All day. Everyday.

"over loaded Conestoga" possible hint of wagon themed trains?

When I first looked at the poster, I briefly thought it was Auron from Final Fantasy X.

But then I wondered if part of the theme will be having the three characters from the Wanted posters correspond to the trains somehow. That's all I've got.

I'll be hones, I didn't think they would fill us in on the characters until after the announcement.

You think if they add another midway, will they put in any flats?

A stall.

I really hope so. We obviously won't get a cool looking stall that's 140 feet in the air, but it's still possible they could add one. .

Now that the new track dips much lower between hills 2 and 3 (on the first pass), the third pass thru that part of the structure will likely be above the height of that new lower dip. I think we are likely to see some sort of inversion there as the track reaches daylight . If you look at an old POV of the third lap between hills 2 and 3 the track is not directly below the MCBR , but instead sandwiched between the other two passes.

Not to damper anyones mood. There was a death on a ride at the Ohio Sate fair. The looping roller coaster "fireball" Ejected people from the ride. Lets keep that family in our prayers. I would never step foot on a fair ride myself. Just so sad.

**EDIT** It was not a looping coaster. It was a spinning swing ride.

Is there a reason why the place that it's being discussed is the mean streak thread?

The most dangerous enemy is the one you don't know you have.

If you go by what this entire forum is for (All things Cedar Point), then no, it is not the place. Nowhere in this entire website is the place for this discussion.

However, since we are human and we have feelings, it is natural to mention something about the tragedy. So, really, your question could have been "Is there a reason why this is being discussed?" But that would be an inconsiderate question to ask.

Or you can, ya know, put it in a thread that isn't solely focused on the new ride being built, as someone correctly did.

Question:

If this thing crosses the 200 foot mark (seems likely), would it be considered the tallest wooden coaster in the world? Didn't know since it's not 100% a wood coaster. Just curious.
