If anyone is planning to take there voucher to Kings Island on opening day will be forced to process pass at Kings Island. They are not letting people in on just vouchers this year, So you will then have a Kings Island Platinum Pass

Where did you hear this?

I have been in contact with both parks! Wanted to be clear on what gate to go to at Kings Island when I went on opening day. They told me that I would have to get processed at Kings Island and then I could enter. I said well I bought my pass at Cedar Point they said it didn't matter. I could get processed at Kings Island and they swap it out at Cedar Point. I called Cedar Point and they told me that was the case so now I am not going to opening day and just going to have to wait until I can get my pass processed at Cedar Point,

No kidding... that's got to be the stupidest thing I've ever heard! So, I'd have to stand in line twice, once at King's Island and once at Cedar Point, just to get a pass to say Cedar Point on it? Lame... I may not go to King's Island on opening day either. That is so stupid!

Not to mention a waste of money for the parks that should be saving money!

I think you're incorrect, it has been clearly stated by Tony on here that you need to just simply SHOW your voucher. I think more than likely one of two things is happening here.

1 - you talked to someone who didn't know what they were saying

2 - you're simply trying to discourage people from going so you don't have to wait in a longer line.

It also makes me mad that King's Island isn't open on Sunday now. Why open that early in the season for one day? If you can't make money over one weekend, you shouldn't be opening at all. And now I have to stand in line twice to process my pass... Jesus. A few people need their heads slammed together.

And who cares if you have a Kings Island Platinum Pass. You'll get all the same PP benefits as if you got your pass at Cedar Point, Michigan's Adventure or Canada's Wonderland. So what does it really matter?

Goodbye MrScott

Smells of scandalous behaviour to me... I wonder if Jeff or Walt might compare the IP addy of these two guys....

^You're kidding me, right?

I'm just mad, because last year, when I visited King's Island, I still had to visit Guest Relations because my pass, from Cedar Point, wouldn't work. I'm pretty sure that was supposed to be fixed by now. And since I go to Cedar Point more than King's Island, I really don't want to have to visit Guest Relations every time I visit the Point this year.

I assure you I did all my homework before I posted this information. If you do not believe me feel free to call Kings Island season pass office at 1-800-288-0808 to hear the information first hand. This process has just changed when TnT talked about season pass that was the way it was going to be, but has now changed! To your point of me discouraging people from going I am a 36 year old man and I do not play games. I was just giving all Cedar Point Season Pass holders the information it is up to each person if they want to go. Besides I am a stock holder the last thing I want to do is discourage anyone to go!

Wow.

Brandon

I actually kind of do the same thing. :) Plus, it would be weird, half my family would have a King's Island pass, while the other would have a Cedar Point pass.

Here's an update I posted on CBuzz...

Based on logistics and feedback, the Platinum Pass processing policy was just recently changed (as in yesterday).

It is now true: you can process your Platinum Pass at any Cedar Fair park. However, we still encourage you to process your Platinum at the original park of purchase.

Obviously, if you're going to Kings Island on opening day and you purchased a Platinum Pass from Cedar Point, you have no choice, as our Season Pass Center opens the following week.
