Shout Out To the Little Kids

Hey. I just went to CP 2 days ago. I was there for 4 days. My little cousin was just barely 48" and was really enthusiastic about the coasters. He held his hands up on every coaster. I was suprised that he did on Magnium...But when he did on Millenium!!! I was sooo proud of him. So Dalton when you See this GREAT JOB!! I"M PROUD AND I CAN"T WAIT TILL NEXT TIME!!

P.S.- He was only 7 years old!! :-)

That reminds me of a little 7 year old boy who was waiting ahead of me in line for Magnum. I asked him if he had ever been on this before and he said, "No, this is my first roller coaster ever." Boy, would I have loved to see his face after that ride. I still wounder if he liked it or not. Glad to see that your little cousin likes roller coasters.

When it's good, it's very good...
When it's bad, it's wicked
This topic aggravates me. Not the topic in general but the fact that my 7 year old daughter(Jasmine) is a coaster nut like myself. The problem with our homepark(SFGAm), is the fact that 6 coasters (soon to be 7 ;) ) are of the 54" height minimum. She is currently at 52" with shoes on.

If CP were a little closer, she could experience a hyper and a giga. Right now she is limited to a giant out and back woodie, a cyclone woodie, an Arrow looper, a speed racer(soon to be removed :( ) and a kiddie coaster.

Oh well, next season she will be able to ride all of them.

I hear you Chitown. Though I am just 15, I realize what crowd SFGAm is targeting. Hopefully, in a year or two, they will build a wild mouse, and some more family friendly rides.

Oh, and glad to hear about your 7 year old up there, good to see we have more coaster fans coming up out there.

My son reached 48" when he was 6, and I started him out rather light with Iron Dragon. After each coaster, (Blue Streak, Gemini, Corkscrew) he'd get off and say "BIGGER". He was less apprehensive for his first ride on Magnum than I was, and held his hands up on his second ride. He even loved Mean Streak.

It's so neat when kids that young discover the thrill of coasters.

My daughter rode the Disastor Transport and Iron Dragon when she was 4. I remember her being upset that she couldn't go one "the big rides." The following year, she was tall enough for the Magnum (as well as the other 48" coasters), and although my husband objected, she rode it...and loved it. Now, 4 years later, I have a partner that rides anything and everything, and we both love the Point!
Don't ya love height restrictions? I understand it's for the safety of her and all it just kind of stinks she can't ride 6 (almost 7 :)) rides at your home park. Anyways, I was a little baby and I wouldn't ride anything bigger than Beastie until I was 9 :-\. In 1996 I fixed that and rode FoF at PKI. My little cousin he was 7 and put his hands up on Beastie I thought he was nuts(I was 8).

5 Fav coasters: 1. Millennium Force 2. Wicked Twister 3. Raptor 4. Magnum XL 200 5. Mantis

I'm still rather sore about MF's 54" height requirement during 2000.

That meant my favorite hyper-riding buddy - the six-year old CBaby - had to sit out the big one.

She's never been back to the park since.
