Ski Show Stadium

I was reading Jeff's signature and a thought popped into my mind. Being located right next to an area CF already plans to utilize that show space right there this season. I remember seeing pictures in a news papers of SF employees building a set there on Wednesday. It would be interesting to see if they could use that area for a Ski Show. Or some other type of show this year. Highly doubtful though.

Also, should they not use it this year, do you think it would be possible for CF to hire Stone Mountain Productions again to produce a Laser show for GL. Considering that stadium is already outfitted for lasers. I always though that was a great location for a night time show, because of the rides in the background. It would be very easy to play that into the show somehow.

Also, I think it could be possible for us to see Splash revisited. Cf already turned one Dolphin tank into a dive show...

Flisk, I don't necessarily think that is a bad idea but there may be some operational concerns. A laser show is obviously going to be at night. That stadium is a long way from what will be the main part of the park (old Geauga Lake).

The distance will seem even longer at the end of the show when people have to hike all the way back to the Geauga Lake gate to exit and hit the parking lot.

I would, however, like to see what Stone Mountain Productions could do with that location. Sea World had some excellent laser shows back in the day.

Most of the time the Sea World Gate was closed anyway, so people had to hike it if they came from the Fireworks show.

Well, mgm,s fantasmic show has a long walk to it. But the show is packed every night.
And a long walk makes for a lot of space for merchendising carts...
The MGM show has some exit dumps out of the stadium that make the walk tolerable. Short of dumping out onto Geauga Lake Road I don't know how they could shorten that long walk.

I'm sorry if SF already instated this, but maybe if there was a 2 boat ferry service acros the lake, ala Paddlewheel-CPLE-esque. The only hitch being operating the boats after park close. That might be hard to do without having at least one employee complain about being asked to work after park hours. A little different than working on a coaster with a long line after close where you would have to work after park hours.

By the way it comes to mind that rides will actually close at the right time.

Lots of people work after the park closes. It is a 24 hour operation.

The ferry service exists. Will it be used on the other hand is a different question.

Why would it be used if nothing was going on over there?

What time does the water show start?

I meant the Ferry Operators Cheif. Although, I am aware it's a 24 hour operation at a park. I was 3rd shift my first summer at CP. ;)

I don't think there will be anything going on over there thi summer, but if CF so chooses in coming years. There might be a reason to use the ferry service in 2005.

It would be nice if they used the ferry service as a cruise around the lake ride this year.
