Snake River Falls Coins

Steve-O's avatar

It's kind of obvious, but have you guys noticed all of the coinage present in Snake River Falls mid-summer? I don't know if any other areas of the park have shallow water regions like SNR does that a lot of people toss coins in. I would guess people toss quite a lot of coins in the Rougarou and Iron Dragon lagoon area, but it's hard to tell. It's a little interesting to wonder how much money gets tossed in locations like these in a season. Any guesses for how much money accumulates in a season in these regions or other locations you've noticed that are prone to coin tossing?

Quite frankly, I would eject anyone who threw coins into any body of water from the park. Those coins could poison the water and thus poison the guests.

I know I've never been tempted to dip a cup into a water ride trough for a drink of water. I'm guessing that the odds of being poisoned by "coin poisoned water ride water" are on par with the odds of winning a $1.5 billion Powerball drawing.

I think duck, goose, seagull and fish crap are way worse than coins.

From 2003 but I'm sure it still applies somehow.
Poison coin water? Seriously?

I know it's not good for ANIMALS- that's why you see signs at zoos discouraging tossing coins into the water- but people? I don't think people have much to worry about.

Unless you're the type who feels like taking a nice deep glug from Snake River Falls, of course.

Pretty sure PyroKinesis was being sarcastic folks...

Not to mention everyone spitting into the water, which is what I would like to see people kicked out for. It's just disgusting.

Sadly it's also an issue on rides.

The spitting thing happened to me two separate times on Magnum last year. It was disgusting.

I learned the hard way that MF is faster than the speed of vomit.....

Yuck! Last year some girl in the row behind me threw up on Pipe Scream. I was lucky that it didn't hit me.

I've seen a few vomiting incidents on PS. It's probably not a good ride for those that get motion sickness by spinning around.

On the terms of vomit, when a magnum operator explained that we were being held in the brake run for a few minutes because someone threw up, I asked him how often people threw up on the ride. He replied with "once or twice a day" which seems disgusting... Can any ride opperators here confirm this?
