Soak city

The same people who are upset over someone sneaking Vodka in a Water Bottle or getting a bottle past the park gate I would bet have smuggled snacks into a movie theater.

These people aren't going to go to Bubbles or a beer tent to buy a drink anyways, so their tips are pointless. They're obviously cheap enough to try and get it into the park, so the tip point is null.

Yes someone who smuggles in can get into trouble with the law, but that's on them. They made a choice, but it's up to them to decide whether the consequences are worth it. It's not up to any of us to enforce it or worry about it. The park has paid police and security to help control any issues with guests within the property. Let them do their job.

I bet the same people who suggest anyone critical of people sneaking verboten food and drink into a park are guilty of doing the same thing elsewhere are people trying to make themselves feel less guilty for their own "crimes".

Call me old fashioned. Call me a weirdo. I follow rules.

I really don't care honestly. I go to the park, I ride rides, I buy a beer...or four at Trail Tavern and enjoy my day.

If someone wants to sneak in good ole' Natty or a bottle of SoCo, go right ahead. They're the one that will face consequences if caught while I point and laugh enjoying my $9 park supplied Dortmunder Gold.

^^I'm right there with you on that. I may pay a hefty premium to enjoy a beer in the park... but I'm enjoying a beer in the park, not an escort to the park gates.

Yup. I know I can spend that $9 and get a six pack of it outside the park. However, I decide what I do and don't want to do or spend money on.

These people chose not to spend money on park supplied alcohol, so if something happens, it's on them.

That is indeed correct, you suffer the consequences of your own actions and decisions. If you violate the speed limit while driving to cedar point you risk getting caught and getting a ticket. If you decide to bring your own beer into soak city you risk getting caught and getting a ticket. Same thing, same level offense.

You may or may not get away with either one, but in the end it's cheaper and less of a headache to just follow the rules.

True, but here's one thing. I or anyone here doesn't decide what others do. They can go right ahead and do what they want, as it doesn't even affect me at all. If anything their drunken stupor may provide some free entertainment.

Just because a person goes into bubbles regularly doesn't mean they have to buy a drink every time they go. The price they charge for a beer and or mixed drinks is outrageous. If they would lower their prices they would sell more drinks and make it up in volume. Why spend 10 bucks for one beer when you can buy a whole 12 pack for that. And sit in your car and drink them. That's what a lot of regulars do that come to cp or soak city. Same with food or regulars get the seasonal meal plan. We try to save money where we can.

Anyone who has food and beverages can eat and drink in their cars you see people doing that all the time in the parking lots. There's nothing wrong with that.

And why is that? You do know that platinum pass holders have access to both cp and soak city. And many of us after riding a few rides in the morning like to go to bubbles and catch some Sun and relax with our friends. And some pass holders don't even go to cedar point. They just do soak city and mostly bubbles.

Nothing wrong with eating and drinking in your car... Although, that same doesn't apply to alcohol. Several things would come up wrong with that...

Yeah... Best not have keys anywhere near you if you're in/around a car and drinking. Just having an open container around a car is legally questionable at best.

And CP's parking lot is private property, so imbibe at your own risk.

I've heard of run on sentences before... But, run on posts? That are seemingly replying to questions nobody asked... And then suggest breaking the law to save a few bucks. Confusing.

Would they? Pretty sure that if Cedar Fair thought it could make more money "in volume" than it does currently, it would have long since lowered the prices.

Why spend $35 for one ticket to Soak City when you can set the sprinkler out in the back yard and sit in your lawn chair?
