Love this ride, but it will never see a 3 train operation unless they slow the lift hill to a sloooooowwww crawl.

So a lift like The Beast? I love the ride, and now it would feel wrong if it didn't totally crawl up the lift hill.

I wonder why you feel this way? I strongly believe the ride and ops are capable of handling 3 trains no problem.

Side note: is it me, or does the lift hill seem more quiet now than it did for the media preview?

I'm pretty sure that in 3 train operation, 1 train would be on the lift, one in the station and one in the brake run. There is also a set of brakes in the transfer shed which they can also use for a holding point.

Amazing when I think about it I have spent a day's worth of time already standing in the SV line. What a great queue to stand in at least, being in the tunnel certainly keeps me dry from rain or avoid the blistering sunlight.

I’ve ridden it a lot, and I have to say I really do like the setup of the queue. The stuff to read is nice, and the ride itself is amazing to watch.

Yeah but then they won’t be able to move the trains two at a time correctly so they’ll drop down to five trains and leave one on the transfer track.

But then again, what do I know?

This NBC Nightly News video is interesting because it was a360 degree cam, it stays steady through the inversions so the POV doesn't rotate.

Neat perspective.....

Regarding Queue, I love the story lines with Maverick....

They should add a fan or two inside the tunnel portion.

Based on the capacity and the number of seats, the ride is designed for a 72 second interval (dispatch to dispatch) with three trains. Assuming they can bring a train in from the ready brakes in say 15-20 seconds at most from the time the previous one begins moving, this should be achievable. Not sure why all the gloom and doom about it being impossible to run three trains. While running one, the line has been long, but it certainly hasn't been because the train has been parked in the station a long time. They've been getting them in and out pretty quickly.

In the short term, I don't see three trains running because Blackjack is missing a lot of parts. But the timing and blocking of the ride should accommodate three trains nicely.

Does anyone know what the countdown on the monitor in the station starts at and when it starts? It seemed to start at something really high like 120 or more and count down. I thought that was a weirdly high number to start at and I didn't notice when it began. I am pretty sure they dispatched our train when it was at like 80. If I were creating the thing, I'd start it at 72 when the previous train dispatches (or at 52 or something close to that when the train parks and the bars are released - whatever number was needed for an "interval").

72 second interval is absolutely doable for that ride. Especially considering the way they check the seats and how much shorter the train is than most rides there (obviously with the exception of TTD and Maverick)

For one train or two... it'll probably go to 72 seconds on the clock with 3.

Over 4 minutes with one train. 2:00-2:30 with 2 trains. I really wish these had Storm Chaser trains where we can put down our own lap bars and they can still check the seatbelts.

Does anyone know if there will be 3 crew members per side checking seats?

EDIT: This morning, with trains full of coaster nerds, last 10 trains averaged 2:24. Wasn't it originally running 2:00 cycles before the oopsy?

^When running 2 trains on some rides, it's not uncommon for the interval - often a minimum required waiting time - to be longer. If you looked at the interval on the screen, they were hitting it at ERT.

^I could have sworn it was around 2 minutes per train with 2 trains before the accident. The GP is going to have this thing stacking all of the time, even with only 2 trains. Why people would wait in that huge line after not using the test seat only to have crew members pushing down as hard as they can only to have to do the walk of shame. These trains are not very forgiving.

^To be honest they're more forgiving than MF's belts (at least with my proportions) and they manage well on that.

Part of the problem is CF in general does not use test seats that are a true representation of the actual ride restraints. People know this and don’t trust the test seats.

At least at Kentucky Kingdom, there were no lines, so, they only had to deal with the embarrassment of being booted...For Steel Vengeance, if you can't ride after waiting for 2-3 hours is like pouring salt on the wound. I seriously wouldn't take the chance.

For those who barely miss out, I lost 35 pounds in 100 days which would put us into the middle of September...If you are borderline due to being overweight, there is no excuse you can't ride this by Halloweekends. 3 healthy meals and 3 healthy snacks is all it took. Treat food as fuel and riding the coasters is what you will be able to treat yourself to rather than unhealthy food.
