The future of MF...

I don't know about you, but I think Millennium Force will be at its worst the first year. Why? Because the vegitation will not be as close to the tracks on the island. I think once the tress and bushes grow closer to the tracks, it will be more fun, especally at night. I think if they leave the island unlit, it will be one scary ride!!!

So basicly, I think MF will get better with age. I just wonder how the heck they are going to keep that Deep Blue paint job up to par 310 feet up! ;)

I really doubt if the plant life around the Force will help it with thrills. Now if we were talking about Iron Dragon or Cedar Creek Mine Ride then I would agree but when I am going at 90mph I think all plant life will be a green blur. Try to find another was to diss Millennium Force

wow, MF gets 90 miles per gallon. I wish my car did that! Sorry, just pointing out a typo.

I am in NO way dissing Millennium Force. I am just saying that the ride will actually improve over the years. Remember, you won't be going nearly 90 mph on the island. I think the trees and other green foliage will just add to the ride. I almost wish that they could kinda bend the trees in the low parts of the ride to make a "canopy" effect! ;)

Kind of related to this topic-
I think this might be the best year. If past events tell us anything, rides are changed sometimes for the better (Snake River Falls), sometimes for the worse (Magnum lighting) after the first season. So depending on whether or not they get it "right" on the first try, this may be the best season for it.
Just a thought.

I don't really mean diss more like flaw. It seems this kind of thing comes up more than once. I think the tree bending idea is very good if it were possible. But because the Force doesn't stay to much on the ground it would only last a few seconds. But I think A jungle them would be a good idea

it was said before but at 90mph you're not going to care about surroundings...i will just be hoping that my arms don't snap off....

Just leave it to CP to make a Jungle theme in Northern Ohio! HA, they can't even get those darn robots to work in Disaster Transport's Queue lines!

Remember, your going to loose a lot of speed after the first and second hills. You will not be going anywhere near 90 mph on the island. Try 50-65 mph. I think it would be "smart" if CP just got the trees really close to the track at the low points to provide a "dive into the unknown" type feeling. Remeber, you will be looking basicly straight down in the turns so maybe looking at some tree tops would spark your fancy. ;)

And 50 mph in a roller coaster is slow?

Not if it's the top speed, but when you started at 90, it seems a bit pokey.

It's like this: In a residential area, 50mph is really booking.
On a highway, you're than old granny who can;t see over the steering wheel.

If it's anything like it's older brother in Buffalo, Millennium Force will not let up until it hits the brakes. Plus, I don't know of any coaster that only goes 50mph after a 180' hill with a head of steam. It'll probably be close to 65-70 on the drop into the island.

Remember coasters are not engineered to stay at top speed for the entire course. Physics won't allow it. So to compensate, everything is made smaller, closer, etc. to give the illusion of speed and power. Yes it's gonna be slower at the end, but what coaster isn't? I don't think we'll disappointed with the fact that it's only going a measly 50mph a few feet off the ground towards the end :)
