Well I can not believe how fast this summer has come and gone. I am going to share my favorite 2009 Cedar Point moment. I hope the rest of you will to.

My favorite moment actually happened this past Sunday, At the end of the night we walked through Fear Fare up front. At the very end one of the monsters got up in my face and asked "can I eat your toe jam?" I laughed and said yea sure! Well she said she was serious and wanted me to take off my shoe. Well you know damn well I am not about to do that, so she goes off and starts screaming at the top of her lungs "I WANT YOUR TOE JAM" It was sick yet so so funny! Me and my friends laughed so hard! We still laugh about it.

So please share your favorite 2009 moment or past moments I would like to read them all!

My favorite memories of the season were...

Opening day waiting almost 5 1/2 hours for Dragster. It was well worth it too, triple rollback. And how the employee would come out and ask us everytime if we still wanted to ride and all 6 of us would scream yes! And then they took our row out and put us back in the quque only to be trampled by the next person in line because he didn't waunt to wait another train. One of the greatest CP memories ever.

Another good one was when, I was waiting to meet up with my group in front of dragster. This girl and her mom come up and wait in the area too. And then all of a sudden the girl starts screaming (really really loudly). She was screaming to her dad on the ride and was asking why they were waiting there and not going. Then all of a sudden it launches and the girl went crazy. Screaming 'Oh my god, mom dad just flew all the way up to the top of that big pointy thing in the sky, look now they are coming back down" I thought it was the funniest thing.

Another funny one was going up DT's lift on a 90 degree day. It was really hot in there and all the lights were on and I yelled out "This is what it must feel like to be in an Easy Bake Oven. The whole car laughed the entire ride about it.

Hmm... My best memories of this season are primarily from CoasterMania and BooBuzz. The Friday evening "social hour" was fantastic... the food was incredible. Then being evacuated from Raptor at the end of the ERT. Pretty cool.

Then during BooBuzz I loved the afternoon island tour, the night rides on Millennium, and of course, the two new haunts! This was my first Halloweekend in a very long time, and it was a great one. Thanks CP, can't wait to get back up there next year :)

My favorite moment this season was definetly my best ride ever on Magnum back in July. It was the smoothest ride I had ever had on it and it was running so awesome for its 20th year.

Hanging out with my best friend Adam, his gf deb and all my coworkers. It was a great day at the point.

Second best would have to be Fall Freak out!

Favorite moment and trip was Coasting for Kids day. So looking forward in doing again next year. The memory that sticks out in my mind was not being part of the "General Public." The highlight of that trip was being able to do a true marathon on a coaster. Doing the marathon on Gemini was a awesome experience will never be able to look or ride the coaster in the same way again unless I wait until I am 40 to ride it again.

My best memory of the season was getting to see the starlight experience with my wife. We had just gotten married and took our first trip to cp as a married couple. Just walking hand in hand through the lights was a very romantic experience.

Firemen never die, they just burn forever in the hearts of the people whose lives they saved

Let's see here...2009 memories. Oh my Physics trip! Since the Point opened at a later time this year, I realized that my teacher had booked buses for a week before opening day. Luckily, I caught the mistake early enough and saved our class trip. As some of you know, I constructed a cardboard boat that looked like the Magnum train. On my class trip, when we were waiting to get on the Magnum, and the train pulled into the station, my classmates all screamed, "John, it's your boat!!!" OH! The weekend that Millennium's cable was hanging over the downside of the lift, and all the guests were making funny comments about it. You know, the kind of things that Cedar Point regulars laugh at.Good times, Good times.

4 summers of employment in ride operations does stuff to you.

I was there on opening day the night we had a rollback fest. :) We only got ONE rollback, however. After we rolled back, when the hostess ran out to our train to ask us if we were basically still alive, I replied: "We're not dead!" By the time we rode, they only filled two rows of seats, so it was me and my friend and some two other dudes in front. Good times.

Last weekend me and my boyfriend took his sister to the point. She hadn't been there for 9 years, so it was fun showing her around. She's not a big coaster person, but we had fun doing the haunted houses and small rides.

Just having good times with my friends and riding great coasters. Nothing super special has happened this season to make it stick out for me, so its just a regular season. I still have a few weeks left though.

Best coaster moment of the year so far: Coming back to the Beast (at night) after 10 years of being absent from Kings Island.

Let's Get Weird.

My favorite memory was Coasting for Kids. What an awesome day! I can't wait to do it again!

Some of my best memories of the season were not just about Cedar Point. My first trip to Kings Island and how much I loved the Beast. I learned from the collection of coasters they have amassed that it does not always have to be the tallest and fastest. I also enjoyed my first trip to Soak City. Getting to re ride as long as my body could handle it on a near empty Magnum train during a ERT night was pretty cool too. You gotta love that Platinum Pass.

Just another coaster junkie at Point Buzz

Best Moments so far: Finally making it to a Halloweekend

Getting to the park on a Halloweekend Friday night just after opening, finding the parking lot practically empty, and getting on Millenium and Dragster within 15-20 minutes a peice before the haunted attractions opened.

Coastermania has some pluses but the highlight of the season for me was last Friday when my mom dad and I all went into the park. It was pouring when we got there, and my parents (though coaster enthusiasts) prefer riding coasters when its not cold so our main priorities were the haunts. Watching them get scared and just enjoying the park with them was the highlight for me. We managed 11 haunts (Goodtime Ghouls, Happy Jack, Fear Faire, Eerie Estates, Undertaker U, Cornstalkers, Fright Zone x2, CarnEvil x2, Terror Island) and got in a few rides too (MaXair, Cedar Downs, Skyhawk, Maverick, Magnum x2.) It was just a great evening.

For me it was easily my 7 years olds first ride on an upside down coaster (Corkscrew). She was an inch too short to ride Raptor, so she was pretty bumming. We got her on Corkscrew and she loved it, she giggled the whole way through, after the lift hill of course. Thats a sound I cherish, and hope we can replicate many times in the future.

I have another one,
In mid august me and two of my buddies went for Maverick ride night.
About mid afternoon we decided to head over to Soak City. It was a pretty hot day and there was a lot of people there. Well while in the large Lazy River we noticed that the sky was getting pretty dark. We were coming around the corner where the waves start and BOOM a streak of lightning flew across the sky AND IT WAS LOUD!

One of the life guards looked at us, looked up at the sky, looked back at us and said OUT NOW!!!!
GOOD TIMES!!!

The count down begins to next season!

Great topic!

Ah, so many amazing memories this season... I can't believe it's almost over :(

Every visit was so great! All of the early entries, experiencing Starlight for the 1st time (and all of the times after that), Snoopy's Big Bow Wow, spotting the 1st sign of HalloWeekends decorations, discovering they had a light up Starlight Mug, walking the beach and relaxing there.

Some more specific memories I have are 4th of July evening and finally seeing CP Fireworks for the 1st time ever, I have no idea why I never went before! The Summer Blast fireworks too, what a nice bonus that was!

Another day that really stands out is when we stayed open to close on a Saturday in July, something I had never done before, and it might sound lame, but is a visit I will always remember.

The Friday the park was supposed to be closed for the buyout, but then ended up being open, that was one amazing ride night!

Every HalloWeekend Friday, the parade, seeing the Overlord and all of the Screamsters on the 1st night of HalloWeekends was awesome! I had no idea they were going to do the nightly "show" and it sure was a treat to see all of the Screamsters parading down the midway. Seeing the Midway Monsters perform, finding out about Boeckling's Banquet, and of course, the 2 incredible new Haunted Houses!

I did so many things at the park this year that I had never done before, just taking it all in and enjoying everything, it's been awesome!

I know I am forgetting so much, but those are just some of the season's highlights. It's so sad to think there are only 2 weekends left, but that's plenty of time for more amazing memories! Have fun everyone!

I left my job at Ohio State to join the faculty at Mount Union; the move, a new home...this is the first year of my entire life that I was not able to make it to CP. The Meyers will make their triumphant return (2 year old in tow) in 2010.
