Ugh, Gab, you beat me by 4 minutes. We have a complete circuit coaster! What can we obsess over now regarding GK construction?

Whether the station will have a fountain or not :)

Let me see, the brand of PLC controller,
the method of charging the ride lights,
the manufacturer of the chain lift oil,
the size of the storage bins,
the mass & volume of the cars
the coefficient of friction between the cars and the track.
Any other suggestions?

^how about not haha. So what's the next step? Adding all of the electrical wires and sensors?

Electrical has been well under way for some time now. Still a ways to go though. Next up is the pull through!

I'm sure I've said this before, but I'll say it again. B&M coasters do not do pull throughs. The areas that are tight are checked with this:

http://rcdb.com/4190.htm?p=22875

They can easily remove the frame from the track, so they don't need to pull it through the whole track to check all the tight spots.

I was thinking that the lighting on the trains are pretty simple. I know that all cars already have a internal electrical system, if it's by battery, or a electrified element in the track.

The lights are not going to require too much power since most LED's these days are super low drain. I think it would be nothing but plugging the cars in at night, and give them a 5-6 hour charge.

^^ Now, don't remember reading that........but ok, no pull through. :)

I wonder how long the queue will be? I know it's a sort of random question, but just one I want to know. I can't wait to ride!

Time to switch the icon from red to yellow.

Anyone know if the chain has been installed to the lift hill yet?

I would assume that next they install the PLC (brain of the ride) if they haven't done so already, as well as finishing up the station and beginning the queue area.

Do you think the park will turn the webcams off during testing? lol

If you watch that video at 0:33 or so, it looks like they could cram a small midway in there haha.

^ or that dark ride we have been waiting for.

^or an observation tower ;)

There is plenty to watch the webcam for. When March rolls around, we will be able to see them take shape on the new entrance. What I mean is they'll start to assemble the ticket booths and the roof. Plus right now, we are watching them assemble the Station roof. :)

I'm amazed at the precision of how coasters are built these days. Think about all the variables as the coaster is built, even if its 1mm off, it could add up to an issue getting the last peice to fit.
