tunnels

If you look closely you can see the tunnels. It appears to be all done, and you can even see the exit.

You can't see the tunnels, and they're far from done.

Jeff is right, last week they weren't even close to be done.

It does look like something is back in the vicinity of the tunnels. But it is probably just a building. Mabey the big candy place back there.

that has to be the tunnel. It is were it is supposed to be, and you can see the exit.
On what picture do you think you see the tunnels in? *** This post was edited by MillenniumMan_2000 on 4/5/2000. ***

You don't see the tunnel. Aside from the fact there's nothing more to them than foundations at the moment, the exit to the tunnel is well behind the trees.

MF and that's my Final Answer ;)
With a 300ft hill and speeds over 90mph, is a tunnel really necessary?
Yes.
I love tunnels on coasters. Besides, I think that the main purpose for the positioning of these tunnels is to make a natural barrier between Millennium Force and Frontier Trail.

They also add a little spice to an otherwise relatively uneventful, though insanely fast, portion of track. The track in both tunnels banks almost 90 degrees, and the first one in particular is said to go in the neighborhood of 70 mph.

90* banking? I am afeared!! I guess the inversion... i mean overbanked turn is going to kill me!!

I think the tunnels are a nice touch to a great ride (even though I haven't rode it I know it will be great).

BE AFRAID...BE VERY AFRAID! LOL!:) They also contain the sound of the trains flying by at those extreme speeds. This will help keep the beginning of Frontier Town more serene. *** This post was edited by CP_genius on 4/9/2000. ***
From an employees point of view, the tunnels will make it harder for us to move products or merchandise through that part of the park. With all the traffic up at that end of the park, i think that path needed to be a bit wider. As it is i run into people in the power tower midway and its huge compared to the path over there.

From a riders perspective it is a great addition but like every issue their are two sides to look at this from.

And seeing as how most of us are guests and not pushing stuff around, I don't think it matters.
