Underwater Coaster Confirmed

I just read in Coaster Development Quarterly that CP has signed a deal with B&M to construct the worlds first coaster that goes beneath the water. The details were not given, but it did say that 12-inch thick glass would be used under water so that riders would be able to see beneath Lake Erie. As for height and speed, numbers were not given. Once again, Monty Jasper will head up development of this unnamed-as-yet coaster to finished in 2002. B&M will need two full years to complete the project because nothing has ever been attempted like this before. One last note-in order to keep the water warm in the winter(to prevent water stress) the surrounding waters of the coaster will be sectioned off so that the water will be heated. I couldn't believe what I was reading. Has anyone else read this article?
What's the site address?
LOL...underwater coaster....

All I have to say it AWESOME. (if this is true) I do recall posting a topic about CP having a underwater coaster and getting my ars flammed for it. They don't own the lake, that is stupid. Well maybe the lurking CP webmaster took a look at it and liked it. Anyway You all are right when you reply back and say it is a rumor along with all those others. I like the idea but do need some more facts about it like a site address and some confirmation.

Welcome back Millennium Force riders...We all want to know how was your RIDE!!!!!
Please !! If you want to start a rumor,a underwater rollercoaster in Lake Erie is'nt
where you want to start.
Come on people back to reality this still has yet to be confirmed by cedar point. But in the case that this is true that should be one hell of a ride. *** This post was edited by CP_Freak on 4/23/2000. ***
We're still waiting. What's your source, what's the site address.
This jp is the same guy that happens to have an uncle working on MF that broke his nose on the drop. I don't care how thick glass they use, anything built in the lake will be destroyed, look what happened to the walkway to the sandcastle 2 years ago. That was 50 feet up on the beach, not even in the water. CP will build NOTHING in the water, it is too difficult, would cost too much and would just plain be to dangerous. What if the damn thing broke a wheel and stopped like some of the loopers you see occasionally in the news? How will they get people out? Are the tunnels going to be wide enough for an evacuation crew or vehicle to get down?? I doubt it. Another thing, CP owns it's property, not the adjacent waters of lake erie, doesn't that belong to the state or something?

Finally, what would an underwater coaster achieve? They could paint the walls of disaster transport blue and replace the tube with track to yield the same effect, it will just be like an indoor coaster.

Anyone know what this guy is smoking?
I was just going to post something about his credibility because the 2 posts he did today are quite questionable.
When did CP buy lake erie?
I think CP bought Lake Erie whenever they found out Magnum was sinking. That way once the whole coaster is underwater, CP can still legally run it...;) Seriously, this rumor is about as true as Magnum and MF being the worst 1-2 punch in the coaster industry...

Come on Hooper... you know better than that!

With this shocking news, I guess it's time to best it by announcing that Catherine Zeta-Jones has in fact left Michael Douglas (yuck!) for life with me.

Do yo smell something?

Check this out. Good ole JB has deleted his member information. I guess that lends credibility to his rumors. :) HeHeHe :)
Everyone must be really bored waiting for the Point to open when this stuff starts up :)
Is it true they are having Elvis cut the ribbon for the new ride too?
No, I think jb just wanted to see how much of a ruckus(sp) he could make on this site. And my guess is he will just sign up as a newbie with an alias.

"Any day, is a great day, to ride a rollercoaster!"
Although I do not believe this rumor and laugh at it's credibility, I suddenly think back when we where making fun of the guy who said that a 300 foot coaster was going to be built for 2000 and run along the Frontier Trail.
