I think this is a mid-course launch. I also think the track had to go to two-rail so it could bank up closer against the nearby supports. I don't think 3 or 4 would fit.

The three rail leading into/out of the turn is awfully close to the support as it is, so that is most likely the real reason behind the two rail in that section. I was still wondering if they wouldn't have to mess with the support before getting that piece of track in until I saw the pictures of the track on the support.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

I think its most likely the brake run as well...that seems to be part of the station area. What confuzzles me are the tons of footers over there and the row of supports the track runs inbetween...guess we will see on the 7th. :)

It's obvious that the track that's there is not going to be in the station, so is the station going to be above this track?

Hrmmm, tunnel maybe, with a mid-course launch in the tunnel?

one thing is for sure - this thing will do some serious side winding!!

This is getting VERY interesting...to say the least.

I also think its a mid course launch. They could really do some cool stufff with a mid course launch. They could have it enclosed, and maybe even add some cool effects (sound, light, smoke). Another thought... do you guys think that that launch could be right on top of the water? It seems pretty low to the ground to me.

I say mid course launch and out towards the swan pond. I fyou have been there, you will see that the supports that line up with this track head that way.

Smoke effects would be awesome BTW, along with a tunnel

Yes I agree with a lot of people here, it's pictures like this:

September 7th will tell....

Shading.....as in tunnel....tards'

A mid course launch into a loop would be nice :)

-Adam G- The OG Dragster nut

I have have ever thought of a mid course launch, seems like it would be pretty sweet.

Those pictures look like the end of the coaster, the turn with the 2 rail track has a dip that would be very bad for a launch. Also since these pictures seem to be of the end of the coaster, that must mean that the beginning has to have a very fast launch (not saying 500ft coaster, just really fast launch). Plus the ride should have atleast 1 very high drop because of a highspeed launch.

CoasterNut, there is no way CP would do a "second time around" because it would kill capacity on this kind of ride.
