What The @!$%!!! I called for Reservations!! DENI

Well I guess You can close this thread cause I called Monday morning, and got the room!! I talked to some manager \ supervisor. Got the room! You have to Haggle witth peopel! FOr all of you that think I'm wrong.. Your prob the people that pay sticker price for your cars!! See you at coastermania!
Well I feel I want to call and complain, I kind of like the rule of 21 or older!! I know it would suck if your under 21, but personally the general thing with people under 21, usually end up causeing trouble, there are a few excpetions to the rule, (along with unresponsilbe adults) But when I stay at a resort its usually to get away from kids, and I dont want to stay at a place with a bunch of curtin climbers or carpet crawlers, The same reason I never stay at the Statasphere or Excaliber or Circus cirus when I go to Vegas. Sorry for those under 21 that may take offense to this, but youll understand once your over 21 or have kids!

I don't want to start a pissing contest or anything. I can understand the policy and if they don't want to let me (a responsible 19 year old college student) stay there, then I'll spend my money somewhere else. Honestly, the only bad experience I have ever had in a hotel was with a bunch of irresponsible adults who came in drunk in the middle of the night and were being loud and obnoxious and you could hear bottles rolling around and the smell of smoke and beer was coming through the door (which connected the rooms). I won't make the generalization that all middle-aged adults (with very few esceptions) who like to have a few beers are irresponsible in hotels, so please don't make the generalization that all people under 21 will cause problems in a hotel. That's all! :) Now back to some real discussion about CP! :)

What could be better than Y2K @ Cedar Point - America's Rockin' Roller Coast?
Notice I used the words "usually" and " there are some exceptions" and "some adults are irresponsible too" Not all people under 21 are irrisponsible, but for liability purposes it should be 21 and over.. ie.. a minor can not enter a contract..... and ones that do can back out of it with no problem due to being a minor. So there for....for legal reasons it should be kept this way. There are people under 21 who are irresponsible and people over 21 who are the same way. But legal is legal!

Generalizations are bad, and you'll almost always get burned when you make them (which is, in itself a generalization).

Are we done with this now?

You think that because you own stock that you should get special treatment? I own stock too.. Not only do I own stock, but I am usually there 360 days a year ( 359 if I actually decide to take an day off).. I don't get a discount on hotel rooms or any other special treatment that I do not work very hard for!. Then I have to listen to people ranting and raving that they should get special treatment becasue of they own stock and "think" they are some special owner and don't know what they are talking about? Owning stock is owning ownership in CP.. As for last year the age requirement being up to the manager.. that simply is not true.. I was a manager in Accommodations a few years ago...it was the policy then too. Perhaps an employee here or there did not enforce it... but it was policy. Hey Snake.. one more thing.. you are not a parnter. CP is a limited partnership. You own stock, but you are not a partner. There are only 9 I believe ( it may be 11.. I really should know this).. but you are not one of them. You do not donate money to the park. But, you do purchase a service...I own stock.. I work my @#$& off for the park, for the guests, and for my employees.. I have NEVER uttered the words that I was entitled to anything at CP... yet.. you say you are entitled to something. You are entitled to purchase stock. You are entitled to visit the best park in the world.. you are entitled to have a great day and be treated in the best possible manner by our employees... you are entitled to know that you are safe when you ride our rides... you are entitled to a clean park.. you are entitled to the best day possible for the amount of money that it costs you to enjoy a day with us. You are entitled to everything that ALL of our guests are entitled to when they walk through our gates.. the best day possible, on the best rides, with the best guest service and memories that will last a lifetime.. THAT is what you are entitled to.
Well said, Jenn! I was going to reply to this, but I think you summed it up!

I hope that with Jenn's flamboyant and articulate
reply that this thread will be put to rest :)
You sure have a way with words!
waving the CP banner high and proud at Jenns way Its got to be one giant pain in the side to hear someone complain about a rule that he doesn't like, then to say "well I buy stock, I should get some special treatment" Yet you work your ass off for the company and don't ask a thing (except a paycheck every so often)

"We work with our partners to make them happier" bla bla bla! Well lets see them back that up!

What? Building a 310 foot rollercoaster isn't enough to make you happy! Those employees working hard, making the park clean and still keeping a friendly face after many hours in the sun and dealing with sometimes down right rude people (good I hate people in foodlines) isn't enough to make you happy! Theres just no pleasing some people.

I AM A PARTNER!!!! You should have the same book Jenn!!!! Check it out yourself. It says it nice yellow letters, "To Our Partners and Fellow Cedar Fair Employees"
Granted its not very much, but regardless it's some! So go explode somewhere else!
Once again, see you there!
Will you be there Jenn??!

To clarify, there is a board of directors that consists of 10 people. Since Cedar Fair is a publicly traded partenership, you own "partnership units" instead of "shares." That would to some degree make you a partner, but not one of the principal partners.

Sorry buddy, but you're a nobody in the big picture of Cedar Fair. I know that hurts, but everything Jenn said is true. Nobody owes you a thing. This ridiculous notion that someone owes you something because you bought a share of something is a sad way to go through life. There are no free rides (pun intended). If you want something in life, play by the rules and EARN it.

With that, I'm done. Next issue.
