what they told you

remeber way back when mf was still just a rumor? what did the cp employees tell you guys when you asked them? i remember i got in the last car on gemini on a halloweekend this past season. mf was already confirmed(i think), and track and supports were in the parking lot by gemini. a ride op was standing behind me and i said 'hey i sure like those millennium force parts you guys have' and he said 'huh?' with a funny look on his face.

When i went there before halloweekends i was in line for the power tower and me and my friend were talkin to a ride op (the one who tells you what seat to go to) and he said that he was going to get to be a tester. I thought that was pretty cool. I don't think that they had any track or supports there yet either.
Geeez I heard so much garbage from ride ops. The employees that knew me personally wouldn't really give me any outragous rumors becasue they knew I wouldn't beleive it. On the other hand if I was talking to an employee that didn't know they would tell me all kinds of crazy stuff.

-They are building a coaster that goes into the lake.

-There will be two lifts, one at 350ft, one at 325ft.

-It will hold the record for the most inversions.

-It would run four trains.

I could go on forever.

let me off here!!!! :) hey i finnally learned how to do it

You know... a coaster that runs into the lake is intriguing.

Especially if CP ever talks to CCI with plans for a boardwalk...

[CCI has a recreation of the blueprints to the defunct Long Beach Cyclone Racer]

won't ever happen Bill..one cannot control Mother Nature and CP does not want that liability...just one of many reasons it will never happen...

Also CP dosen't "own" Lake Erie. But at PKD Anaconda(sp?) goes in a lake.

If you can build one on the Pacific Ocean, you can build one on a shallow little lake like Erie. Especially on the bay side.

That they have a beach area at all indicates that their property or at least building rights extend partially into the lake.

For instance, at home, I own building rights halfway into the rivlet [It's a river in Colorado, but not in Michigan. G] at the end of the property.
Anaconda at PKD doesn't really go into a lake. It's kind of like a manmade pond in the middle of the park, not an external lake. The entire thing is built over the water and the water is never even more then 2 or 3 feet deep. This lake/pond was made solely for the ride and i think has a concrete bottom to mount the supports. This is very different from building into Lake Erie.

Ever heard of Morey's Piers? or the Great White on the Jersey shore?

Ever seen the movie DAYLIGHT? It can be a possibility but it can also be disastrous.

Sure it's possible, but why would you want to incur the expense? Does anyone remember the shore and the beach walk two seasons ago? It was destroyed by the lake.

Remember you can build a nice CCI woodie for about $5 million. Building a pier to put it on would easily cost far more.
