White Water Landing Logos Going to Stay?

Has anyone looked at the pictures of the “queue house” (former white water landing station”) and noticed that they still have multiple white water landing logos on the metal. Do you think those will stay? Or will they be replacing them with Maverick logos? I know the pictures I gave below might not be good examples. But if your coming from the Millennium Force midway, I remember it saying white water landing across the front of the station by the antique cars.

Here are some links to the pictures:

I dont see any logo for White Water Landing in the first picture, but I would imagine they would just keep it the way it is... no point in changing it when it already goes with the theming.

It's very hard to see in the first picture though.

The logo on the roof facing Millennium Force that you are speaking of was removed last summer...

We can always count on Doug to have what seems to be useless pictures of a roof. ;)

But see, it was useful after all. And, for the record, those two pictures weren't online until they came in handy. :)

That's why it said "....what seems to be useless", when in fact they were very useful.

i think it would be amazing to keep the logos. 30 years from now we can look back and say that we remember what was when all those little kids won't even know what was there.

Hopefully they'll still have the Town Hall Museum. Right now it shows the White Water Landing Model in there. Hopefully they'll keep that or at least save a picture when that time comes. :)

that would be a huge mistake to get rid of it. BUT they could create a new midway...historytown. this could contain historic items and stores and possibly recreations of old rides.

Logo.....what logo?? I dont know what you guys are talking about, I dont see any logo. All I see is a piece of metal with faded letters on it.;)

Seriously though, that will either be removed when they start to put up the ramp (or later), or stay and have something, Maverick related, put on it.
That's just my guess.

I hope they leave it. Its going to be behind you as you go up the steps into the loading area. And, its one of those cool "insider" things like hidden Mickey's at the Disney parks. You can barely read that sign anyways, so its not like it would confuse people.

yess..what other hidden things are at cp?

^^Oh I know some people who would get confused. They'd stare at it for hours and the only answer they'd come up with would be "That's a piece of metal!!!!!"" *** Edited 3/19/2007 3:24:46 AM UTC by TTD 120mph***

^^ Cedar Point is a pack-rat comming to old ride eqipment. Directly behind Snake River Falls is a whole entire area dedicated to old ride parts. I believe the cars from the former Frontier Lift can be seen from CP&LE RR. It's really hard to tell what else is over there. It's better to view it from Windows Live Bird-Eye View. *** Edited 3/19/2007 11:52:50 AM UTC by ltparkmaster***

I think the area is called the boneyard...if I'm not mistaken. Over the years people have "claimed" to have seen all sorts of interesting things back there...new rides, old rides being brought to Cedar Point...the lost Arc...

But the area doesn't exist. Period. ;)

As far as WWL's logo, I'm sure P & D have a new logo that will be painted on the roof before opening..although, it would be neat to have a few things from WWL leftover, as you wait in line, besides the queue house...maybe a boat or two..

Owner, Gould Photography.

There is an old ski lift type ride located back there, I'm pretty sure from Geauga Lake. It's not the cars from the Frontier Lift, they were moved to the Skyride when the Lift was taken out. The powder blue chairs can be seen from the CP&LE RR as you go past Snake River Falls, look to your left behind the fence.

Yeah it would be cool if they kept a little bit of history there. A historical marker would also be nice for WWL like the one by the beach for that era.
