Who gets the long distance award?

How far from the Point is everyone? I personally live in Wichita Falls, Texas and will be making my trip up there this summer during my visit to family in Kendallville, Indiana. So, you can measure my distance a few ways.
Wichita Falls to Sandusky = 1175 miles...21 hours

I'll be going to CP from Kendallville, so you can do that one 2 ways. 1) total driving time:
WF to Kville to Sandusky = 1208 miles...22 hours
or 2) from my temporary NE Indiana home to CP:
Kendallville to Sandusky = 162 miles...3 hours

So, do I win or what? ;)

I got all my mileage and hours from Mapquest.com, so the actual driving time will be less. Well, unless I get stopped by the law. hehe

I have a three hour drive from East Liverpool OH.

75 minutes, exactly 79 miles from my drivway to the Soak City parking lot. Now the time depends on cleveland traffic and construction.

I'm a pretty good runner up to the distance thing (that is, until I start to work there, then I lose). Right now I am 715.5 miles, which would be a great 13 hours and 4 minutes according to mapquest.com. But I'll be going to CP on Opening Day from my mom's house in New Castle, Pennsylvania. Officially they say...144.9 miles. Which they claim to be 2 hours and 49 minutes. However, to get to CP from my front door, it takes exactly 2 hours and 24 minutes if I drive somewhere near the speed limit and traffic is decent. Either way it isn't exactly a short trip, but one I'm definitely willing to make.

Here in sunny Ft. Lauderdale, FL we are a short 22 hours from the Point. When we fly up in May it will take 3 hours or so.

A good friend of mine just landed a job at Paramount's Great Adventure in San Jose, CA. He visits the site on occasion and will be able to compete for the distance record soon.
Oooooohhhh....can I win???

For the first Four years I worked there I had to drive 2343.5 miles from sunny southern California to get to work... I think that is a pretty impressive distance to BBQ chickens all day long, what do you think? :)
Dang it I though we were getting an award for long distance bills!! I would win that one ask my husband! LOL! I unfortunalty live in Toledo so I dont have that far of a drive, well its actually Oregon Oh, but it borders Toledo! SO I guess I dont get the award, but if you want to share phone bills, bet I got you all beat!

The more you ride it, the more you want it!

i travel 376 miles in about 5 hours from scenic Peotone, IL(can you say "roll up the streets at 9 pm?" sure you can..) and about 90 minutes of that is spent on the LOVELY Frank Borman Expy section of I-80...perpetually UNDER CONSTRUCTION, so that probably ADDS time, not miles. if they ever FINISH the Borman(HA!) it will only take me about 4 hours, like it should. speed demon that i am, at least through Indiana...

"I think I scrambled my brain!!"
It is exactly 58 miles from my driveway to CP causeway. (Our street is actually Cleveland Rd.)
I may have the winner though...
My brother-in-law is from New Zealand and this summer his brother is bringing a group of Boy Scouts from Auckland to the States and number one on the list of to-dos is CP. (I don't know off the top of my head the actual mileage to Auckland, NZ but I know you can't get much further away without getting closer!!)
Only 1279 miles,2tollroads,1 interstate away from Sandusky.
Its exactly 242.9miles to cedar point from my driveway, in south haven michigan.
