Why doesn't CP want us to see the first run?

It seems awfully coincidental that the webcam goes offline for 2 days the very day they are supposed to load the first trains and run one down the hill.

Why would they not want the first run to be seen?

Because maybe they don't want the world to see a rollback. :) Seriously, either they're moving the camera or they figured we've seen enough so we can wait until May to see any more.

A rollback on that first hill-I don't think so. Hopefully they are moving the camera but I doubt it, they like seeing us suffer :)

The webcam was/is just an advertisement for people to go to the park (a no brainer here at CP Place)and for people to be informed of the construction. Well the advertisement just ran out, and its time for us to spend some money

Isn't it obvious that if there's some kind of catastrophic event that sends Intamin cars all over the Midway Formerly Known as The Giant Wheel Plaza that it would be a bad thing? You'll see it when they know everything is good to go, and not a moment sooner.

i was thinking the same thing, Jeff. besides, wouldn't there be SOMETHING in the news out there about either event? (A succesful run or B) mass destruction?) Webcam shows it's still standing...

The webcam is back not moved, but no testing.

Maybe it has something to do with the bandwidth consumtion that the first run would cause on thier website. (hint-hint) Or maybe their insurance adjusters requested the cam to be shut off incase of a malfunction.
