Cedar Point’s 2007 season passes go on sale

SANDUSKY, Ohio, 2006 – Cedar Point amusement park/resort, voted the “Best Amusement Park in the World” for a record nine consecutive years, has announced that 2007 Season Passes will go on sale beginning Friday, Sept. 22. Several new options are available for the 2007 season, and Season Passes will be offered at a discounted price until Nov. 15!

A 2007 Cedar Point Season Pass (ages 3-61, 48 inches and taller), valid for unlimited visits to Cedar Point, is only $94.95. The Junior Season Pass (age 3-61, under 48 inches tall) and Senior Season Pass (age 62 and older) will be available for only $49.95. Children age 2 and under are free.

For next summer, two new season pass options will be available that will provide unlimited admission to more parks than ever before. The new MAXX Pass (ages 3-61, 48 inches and taller in shoes), will be valid for unlimited visits to Cedar Point and all Cedar Fair, L.P. ride parks for only $125.

For even more value and entertainment, the new MAXX Plus Pass (ages 3-61, 48 inches and taller in shoes), valid for unlimited visits to Cedar Point, Soak City and all Cedar Fair, L.P. ride and outdoor waterparks, will go on sale for $149.95. A Junior MAXX Plus Pass (ages 3-61, under 48 inches tall in shoes) and Senior MAXX Plus Pass (age 62 and older) will also be available for only $79.95.

To enhance your Cedar Point Season Pass, the Joe Cool Club is just for you. For an additional $15, guests who purchase a 2007 Cedar Point Season Pass, MAXX Pass or MAXX Plus Pass at Cedar Point can join this members-only club that includes perks such as early admittance into Cedar Point, discounts on food and merchandise and much more! MAXX Plus Passes purchased by Nov. 15, 2006, will automatically include a free Joe Cool Club membership. Season Pass-holders can also purchase a non-transferable parking sticker, valid for free parking all-seaon-long at Cedar Point, for only $50.

New next summer at Cedar Point will be Maverick, the newest member of Cedar Point’s roller coaster family. This $21 million steel roller coaster will take riders on a 4,450-foot journey through tight twists, turns and low-to-the-ground maneuvers. Maverick is scheduled to open in May 2007.

During HalloWeekends, the Season Pass Center near the Main Entrance will be open from 5-9 p.m. on Fridays, 12-8 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays through Oct. 29.

All Season Pass and Parking Pass certificates can also be ordered by telephone, fax, mail or the Internet. Phone orders will be accepted from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, by calling 419.627.2309. Fax and mail order forms are available online at cedarpoint.com. Mail orders should be sent to: Cedar Point Season Pass Center, One Cedar Point Drive, Sandusky, OH 44870-5259. All mail orders should be postmarked no later than Wednesday, Nov. 15 to qualify for these prices. Fax orders can be sent to 419.627.2347. Internet orders can be completed at cedarpoint.com. A $3 handling fee will be added for standard delivery on all phone, fax and mail orders. A processing fee will be charged for each online Season Pass ordered.

Cedar Point Season Pass-holders will be able to use their pass for admission to Cedar Point only. MAXX Pass-holders will be able to use their pass at Cedar Point; Geauga Lake & Wildwater Kingdom; Paramount’s King’s Island, Cincinnati; Michigan’s Adventure, near Muskegon, Mich.; Knott’s Berry Farm, Buena Park, Calif.; Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, Allentown, Pa.; Valleyfair, Shakopee, Minn.; Worlds of Fun, Kansas City; Paramount’s Great America, Santa Clara, Calif.; Paramount’s Carowinds, Charlotte, N.C.; Paramount’s King’s Dominion, near Richmond, Va.; Paramount’s Canada’s Wonderland near Toronto; and Bonfante Gardens, Gilroy, Calif. MAXX Plus Pass-holders will be able to use their pass for admission to each of those parks, plus Soak City at Cedar Point; Oceans of Fun, Kansas City; Soak City U.S.A., Buena Park; Soak City U.S.A., Chula Vista, Calif.; and Soak City U.S.A., Palm Springs, Calif.
