On Friday, Cedar Point made its first payment to the city of Sandusky for the new 8 percent paid parking tax, according to the Sandusky Register. The payment included revenue from season parking passes that were sold between April 15, when the tax went into effect, and April 30.
Cedar Fair, L.P. has said it will challenge the tax.
"We made the payment for the time being," Cedar Point spokeswoman Janice Witherow told the Register.
