With Opening Day at Cedar Point less than a month away, fun-seekers can get a jump on summer by purchasing and/or processing their Season Pass before the park opens May 10.

SANDUSKY, Ohio, 2008 – With Opening Day at Cedar Point less than a month away, fun-seekers can get a jump on summer by purchasing and/or processing their Cedar Fair Platinum Pass or Cedar Point Season Pass before the park opens for its 139th season on Saturday, May 10.

New this year, the Cedar Fair Platinum Pass is the biggest and best ticket to fun and excitement around. For only $150, it includes unlimited admission and parking at 11 Cedar Fair Entertainment Company amusement parks and six outdoor waterparks, plus each park will offer additional benefits that will vary throughout the year.

At Cedar Point, Platinum Pass-holders will also receive early entry to the park, exclusive ride nights and discounts on selected food, merchandise, games and more. A Platinum Pass also includes unlimited admission and free parking at Soak City and Geauga Lake’s Wildwater Kingdom waterpark in Aurora, Ohio.

To accommodate the countdown to summer, Cedar Point’s Season Pass Center is now open and will be open Wednesdays through Sundays until Friday, May 9. Hours will be from 3-7 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. It will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Beginning Saturday, May 10, the Season Pass Center will be open during the park’s regular operating hours.

Cedar Fair Platinum Pass and Cedar Point Season Pass exchange vouchers must be redeemed for a non-transferable photo ID card before being used for admission to Cedar Point, Soak City waterpark or any other Cedar Fair Entertainment Company amusement or outdoor waterpark. Platinum Pass vouchers can be redeemed at any Cedar Fair Entertainment Company amusement park or outdoor waterpark regardless of where it was purchased.

Cedar Point Season Passes (for guests ages 3-61, 48 inches and taller) are $109.95 and are only valid for admission to Cedar Point. Parking passes for Cedar Point are not available.

For additional savings, a four pack of Cedar Point Season Passes can be purchased online for $104.95 each at cedarpoint.com.

Cedar Fair Junior Platinum Passes (for guests ages 3-61, under 48 inches tall in shoes at the time of redemption) are $89.95; Cedar Point Junior Season Passes are $59.95; Cedar Fair Senior Platinum Passes (for guests age 62 and older) are $89.95; and Cedar Point Senior Season Passes are $59.95. Children age 2 and under are free.

In addition to Cedar Point, Soak City and Wildwater Kingdom, Cedar Fair Platinum Passes are valid for admission and parking at Kings Island, near Cincinnati; Michigan’s Adventure, Muskegon, Mich.; Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom, Allentown, Pa.; Valleyfair, Shakopee, Minn.; Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, Mo.; Canada’s Wonderland near Toronto; Carowinds, Charlotte, N.C.; Kings Dominion, near Richmond, Va.; Knott’s Berry Farm, Buena Park, Calif.; California’s Great America, Santa Clara, Calif.; and admission only at Gilroy Gardens Family Theme Park, Gilroy, Calif. Platinum Passes are not valid for admission to the Halloween Haunt at Knott’s Berry Farm and good only for discounted admission during Canada Wonderland’s Halloween Haunt.

A Cedar Fair Platinum Pass is also valid for admission and parking at Oceans of Fun, Kansas City; Knott’s Soak City in Buena Park.; Knott’s Soak City in Palm Springs; and Knott’s Soak City in San Diego.
