Cedar Point Press ReleaseSANDUSKY, Ohio, Sept 02, 2008 -- Families looking to have fun next summer and save money now will definitely want to check this out. Cedar Point amusement park/resort has recently announced details of its 2009 Season Pass program, and the savings and benefits are bigger and better than ever before!
For a limited time, current Cedar Point Season Passholders and Cedar Fair Platinum Passholders can save up to $20 on the purchase of a 2009 pass! That's a savings of more than 18 and 12 percent, respectively. From Sunday, Sept. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 2, this offer will be available online, over the phone or at the park during regular operating hours.
Beginning Sunday, Sept. 7, anyone who is not a 2008 Season Passholder and purchases a 2009 Cedar Point Season Pass or a 2009 Cedar Fair Platinum Pass at Cedar Point during regular operating hours will receive a complimentary ticket to Cedar Point (same type as the season pass purchased) on the day they purchase their pass. (This offer is not available to current passholders and is only valid on passes purchased at Cedar Point during regular operating hours from Sunday, Sept. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 2.)
By far the best deal available is the 2009 Platinum Pass. A Platinum Pass will provide unlimited admission to Cedar Point, Soak City, Geauga Lake's Wildwater Kingdom, Kings Island and the rest of Cedar Fair Entertainment Company's 17 amusement and outdoor waterparks during the 2009 calendar year. Plus, free parking is included with every Platinum Pass! 2009 Platinum Passes are available for only $150. 2008 passholders can save even more money by purchasing a 2009 Platinum Pass for only $140 - a savings of $20 (and the same price a Platinum Pass cost in September 2007)! Junior and Senior Platinum Passes are also available for $89.95 (the same price as September 2007).
Another money-saving offer is the 2009 Cedar Point Season Pass that will be valid for an entire summer's worth of fun at Cedar Point for only $99.95! That's a savings of $10 off the regular price and $5 less than it cost in September 2007. Current Season Passholders can save $20 off the regular price by purchasing a 2009 Season Pass for only $89.95 ($15 less than it cost in September 2007)! Junior (guests ages 3-61, under 48 inches tall) and Senior (age 62 and older) Cedar Point Season Passes are also available for only $69.95.
All of these incredible offers will be available beginning Sunday, Sept. 7.
As a way of saying "thank you" to all of its passholders, Cedar Point will hold a special Season Passholder Appreciation Day. On Sunday, Sept. 7, all 2008 Cedar Point and Platinum Season Passholders are invited to enjoy a day filled with special activities and offers not available to the general public. The special activities include exclusive ride time on Cedar Point's popular Raptor and Magnum XL-200 roller coasters along with a scavenger hunt, where participants can win an exclusive ride session on Millennium Force for themselves and 35 of their closest friends. A special $5 meal deal will also be available exclusively for current pass-holders.
The Cedar Point Season Pass Center will be open Sunday, Sept. 7 and Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays during HalloWeekends.
