Former NFL All-Pro running back will sign autographs from noon to 2 p.m. near Raptor

SANDUSKY, Ohio -- Fresh off his appearance on NBC’s “Celebrity Apprentice”, Herschel Walker, former National Football League (NFL) All-Pro running back, will visit Cedar Point on Monday, July 13.

While on the NBC television show, Walker, along with 15 other celebrity contestants, played to win money for a charitable organization of their choice. The show is hosted by Donald Trump, the multibillionaire and businessman.

Walker, who is also known as a college, NFL and United State Football League (USFL) star running back, will meet guests and sign autographs from noon to 2 p.m. near the Raptor roller coaster on the main midway at the Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort.

In his first year with the Dallas Cowboys, Walker led the NFL in rushing.  He also earned two Pro Bowl selections.  In addition to the Cowboys, Walker played for the Minnesota Vikings, Philadelphia Eagles and the New York Giants during his 11-year NFL career (1986-1997). 

Before turning pro, Walker played at the University of Georgia where he led the Bulldogs to an undefeated season and the national championship in 1980.  He was a three-time All-American and won the Heisman Trophy in 1982.  In 1999, Walker was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame.
