Pro basketball guard Daniel Gibson to visit Cedar Point on August 5

Cleveland Cavaliers point guard will greet guests and sign autographs at the 3 Point Challenge basketball game near Demon Drop.

SANDUSKY, Ohio --- Basketball fans, get excited because Daniel Gibson, point guard for the Cleveland Cavaliers, is coming to Cedar Point on Wednesday, Aug. 5.

A third-year guard, Gibson will greet guests and sign autographs from noon to 2 p.m. at the 3 Point Challenge basketball game next to the Demon Drop near the main entrance to the Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort.

Gibson, also known as “Boobie”, often came off the bench to net three-pointers to help propel the Cavs to a franchise record 66 wins and a Central Division crown this past season.  He was a second-round pick in the 2006 NBA draft.

A native of Houston, Gibson played college basketball at the University of Texas where he received numerous honors including Big 12 Freshman of the Year.  He also set the school record for most three-point baskets made in a season (101).
