Cedar Point adds two days and great deals to create a Bonus Weekend of fun

SANDUSKY, Ohio, – Cedar Point has announced that it has expanded its operating schedule for the upcoming weekend. The Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort will now be open Friday night, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 11-13.
During this Bonus Weekend, the park will offer special in-park and online discounts on admission tickets, food and games. It will also launch its 2010 Season Pass Campaign with the lowest prices of the season only available at the park.
On Friday, Sept. 11, Cedar Point will be open from 6-11 p.m. (limited ride availability); noon to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12; and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13. On Saturday, the park will televise the Ohio State vs USC football game on the Hot Summer Lights projection screen. Kickoff will be shortly after 8 p.m.
On cedarpoint.com, fun-seekers will be able to purchase a four pack of tickets for only $148, just $37 per ticket. Tickets will be valid through the end of the 2009 operating season. Other deals and discounts are also available.
For this weekend only, 2010 Season Passes and Cedar Fair Platinum Passes (valid for admission and parking at all Cedar Fair Entertainment Company amusement parks and outdoor waterparks) can be purchased at the park for the lowest price of the season. Cedar Point Season Passes are only $90 while Platinum Passes are only $140. Plus, everyone who purchases a 2010 Season Pass or Platinum Pass at the park this weekend will also receive a free VIP jacket and a coupon worth 50 percent off an admission ticket that can be used anytime during the 2009 operating season.
Junior (age 3 and older, under 48 inches tall) and Senior (age 62 and older) Cedar Point Season Passes and Platinum Passes are only $72 and $90, respectively. Children age 2 and under are free. Please visit

This weekend Cedar Point will also host a Season Pass Appreciation Weekend that will include several special events. All 2009 Cedar Point Season Pass and Platinum Passholders will be able to enjoy Exclusive Ride Time (ERT) on Saturday night and Sunday morning, participate in a Scavenger Hunt for a grand prize that includes a private ERT session on Millennium Force for the winner and a trainload of friends in May 2010, and get discounts on food and games by just flashing their season pass. Games will offer a buy-one-get-two games at any $2 game location. Season Passholders can pay the Junior price for the buffet in the Midway Market.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 14, Season Passes and Platinum Passes will be available for purchase at the regular fall price online at
cedarpoint.com or at the park during regular operating hours on Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays through Sunday, Nov. 1.
