Cedar Point Press Release

SANDUSKY, Ohio –- Time is running out!  There is only one weekend left to ride all the best roller coasters or enjoy all the fun and frights of HalloWeekends at Cedar Point.

This will be the last weekend of operation for Cedar Point this year.  The Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort will only be open on Friday night, Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 30-31 and Nov. 1) before it closes for the season.

During this last weekend, all nine of Cedar Point’s haunted attractions: five outdoor scare zones and four haunted houses including the new G.A. Boeckling’s Eerie Estate and Happy Jack’s Toy Factory haunted houses, will be in operation all three nights.  All outdoor scare zones will be open until midnight on Friday and Saturday.  And now, because of the time change on Sunday morning, they will be open from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 1, making the entire HalloWeekends’ experience available on Sunday!

It is also $25 SuperSaver Sunday if you plan ahead.  Admission tickets for Sunday are available for only $25 at cedarpoint.com.  Tickets must be purchased before midnight on Thursday, Oct. 29 and are only valid on Sunday, Nov. 1.  Admission tickets for $29.99 are also available at cedarpoint.com.  These tickets can be used any day of the remaining three-day weekend.  But hurry, there is only a limited supply of these tickets available.

On Friday night and Sunday, Cedar Point Season Passholders and Cedar Fair Platinum Passholders can Bring-a-Friend for only $14.99.  Tickets can be purchased at the park when you show your season pass.  Other deals on admission tickets, overnight accommodations and meals are also available.  Please visit cedarpoint.com for all the money-saving details.

During HalloWeekends, the park combines its huge assortment of rides and roller coasters with dozens of Halloween attractions that range from outdoor scare zones and haunted houses to live entertainment and children’s attractions that include the Monster Midway Invasion Celebration parade (4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday afternoon), the Magical House on Boo Hill and the Hay Bale Maze.

This will also be the last weekend to ride Demon Drop at Cedar Point.  At the end of the season the free-falling thrill ride will be relocated to Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park, Calif.  On Sunday, lucky guests who find a “Golden Ticket” can be one of the last riders on Demon Drop.  See cedarpoint.com/demondrop for all of the details.

This weekend, Cedar Point will be open from 6 p.m. to midnight on Friday, noon to midnight on Saturday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday.
