Cedar Point Press Release

SANDUSKY, Ohio, – Just in time for the holidays, Cedar Point has donated several truckloads of food and canned goods to several local charities.

Overall, Cedar Point has given nearly $4,000 worth of food to the Salvation Army, Victory Temple Soup Kitchen and Care and Share. Donated items include potatoes, potato salad, baked beans, chicken salad, apples, eggs, cheese, potato chips, tortillas, lettuce and tomatoes.

The park’s donation will allow these organizations to help many families during the Thanksgiving holiday.

“We are extremely appreciative of Cedar Point for these donations,” said Captain Mark Larrick, one of the Corps Commanding Officers of Sandusky’s Salvation Army.  “This is a huge help to us during this time of the year.  Not only we will be able to provide groceries for dozens of families in the area, but these will also add a nice variety of foods to choose from.”

The donated food will be used in the Salvation Army’s Food Room that provides two days’ groceries for more than 250 families each month.  At the Victory Temple Soup Kitchen, the food will be used to serve warm meals for less-fortunate people.
