Engineering Problems Lead to Shoot the Rapids Delay

Boats and ride flume not a good match.

The opening of Cedar Point's new water ride, Shoot the Rapids, has been delayed two weeks because of engineering problems. The boats, which were designed by a different company than the flume, were too long for the flume.

The park is modifying the boats, but as of Sunday, only two had been retrofitted.
