Cleveland Cavaliers’ J.J. Hickson To Appear at Cedar Point
Cavs’ first-round draft pick in 2009 will meet guests from noon to 1 p.m. at Three-Point Challenge basketball game.
Cedar Point Press ReleaseSANDUSKY, Ohio -- Cleveland Cavaliers’ starting forward J.J. Hickson will talk basketball and shoot some hoops at Cedar Point when he makes a special appearance at the Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort on Wednesday, June 23.
The Cavs’ first-round draft pick in 2009, Hickson will meet guests from noon to 1 p.m. at the Three-Point Challenge basketball game, located near the main entrance to the park. Guests who play the game will be able to meet Hickson as well as receive an autograph from the Cavs’ star.
In his second year with the Cavs, Hickson averaged 8.5 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in 81 games. He shot 55 percent from the floor. In January, the Atlanta native set his career record with 23 points against Minnesota.
Hickson played one year for the North Carolina State University Wolfpack in Raleigh, N.C. There he was named to the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) All-Freshman Team and Honorable Mention All-ACC. He averaged 14.8 points per game and was second in the conference with 8.5 rebounds per game.
