Cedar Point Press Release

SANDUSKY, Ohio – With HalloWeekends at Cedar Point in full scare, a variety of packages and offerings at the park’s resort properties may be just the trick for a full weekend of family fun and frights.

Besides their convenient location to park, Cedar Point Resorts are now treating guests to weekend packages that offer savings exceeding $200. These two-night packages include admission to the park on Friday nights and Saturday and free parking.  Additional one-day tickets for only $29, a savings of nearly $17, are also available.

Plus, all Cedar Point Resort guests qualify for Early Entry and can enter the park one hour before the park opens to the public.  Several of the park’s most popular rides including Millennium Force, Maverick and Planet Spooky open early to accommodate the early arrivers.  These money-saving packages are now available at the Hotel Breakers, Lighthouse Point, Breakers Express, the Camper Village RV campground and the Castaway Bay indoor waterpark resort.

The deal is even better at Sandcastle Suites, Cedar Point’s all-suites hotel located on the tip of the Cedar Point Peninsula.  At Sandcastle Suites, guests will receive admission to the park on Friday nights and Saturday, Early Entry, free parking and a $50 gift card that can be used for food and merchandise.  Savings for a two-night stay at Sandcastle Suites will top $250.

In its 14th year, HalloWeekends provides an unmatched mix of rides and roller coasters, four haunted houses, five outdoor scare zones, live entertainment and themed children’s attractions.

For this haunting season, the park has introduced Dr. D. Mented’s Asylum for the Criminally Insane, a new haunted house located in Frontiertown that features a mad scientist and dozens of deranged characters.

HalloWeekends will be held on Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays, through Sunday, Oct. 31.  The park will be open from 6 p.m. to midnight on Fridays (limited ride availability); noon to midnight on Saturdays; and noon to 9 p.m. on Sundays.  (This Sunday, Oct. 10, the park will be open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.)  All of the park’s haunted attractions will be open on Sundays.
