Author says Boeckling laid ground work for what Cedar Point is today

According to David Francis, co-author of The Queen of American Watering Places, Cedar Point's current state can largely be attributed to George Boeckling and his efforts to develop the park around the turn of the century. Francis profiled Boeckling Sunday at the Museum of Carousel Art and History.
