Cedar Point’s DQ Grill & Chill® Restaurant Grand Opening This Friday

SANDUSKY, Ohio – When hunger hits, Cedar Point’s new DQ Grill & Chill with Orange Julius® restaurant will have plenty of riDQulously good food and tempting treats ready to serve.  
Located at the corner of Fifth Street and Cedar Point Drive, the new DQ Grill & Chill will open its doors for the first time on Friday, May 27.  The official grand opening ceremony will begin at 11 a.m.

Covering more than 4,900 square feet, Sandusky’s newest restaurant is now the largest DQ Grill & Chill franchise in the U.S.

“The DQ Grill & Chill will be an instant hit,” said Jack Highsmith, Cedar Point’s vice president of accommodations and franchise food.  “Its diverse menu of fresh, great-tasting meals and delicious treats will be popular with everyone in the family.”

The new eatery will offer an expanded menu that will include breakfast as well as all the DQ originals and favorites.  It will also feature an extensive children’s menu.  The Dairy Queen system’s popular Blizzard® Flavor Treats and a variety of scrumptious desserts will also be offered. 

Orange Julius premium fruit smoothies and fruit drinks and the popular DQ Frozen Soft Serve cakes will also be available.  Using laser technology, the cakes can be personalized with special photographs for every occasion.  Through Friday, June 3, these delicious cakes can be purchased at a savings of 50 percent. 

The new eatery will also offer specials on other menu items each month.
Some of the newer menu items include hot dogs, wraps and iron-grilled sandwiches. Early risers can catch DQ breakfast favorites such as pancakes, egg sandwiches, hash browns, coffee and juice.

Beginning Friday, May 27, DQ Grill & Chill will be open daily through Labor Day.  It will reopen for weekends through Oct. 29-30.  Daily operating hours will be from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
