SANDUSKY, Ohio – Although the Labor Day Weekend is just ahead, big-time savings on a fun visit to Cedar Point can still be had through the end of October.
The Sandusky, Ohio, amusement park/resort will be open daily through Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5. (Daily operating schedule will vary.) The park will reopen for a Bonus Weekend and HalloWeekends, Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 9-11 through Oct. 28-30.
Located adjacent to Cedar Point, the Soak City waterpark will also be open through Labor Day. The 18-acre waterpark has water slides, inner tube rivers, the 500,000-gallon Breakers Bay wave pool and special areas for children. Soak City will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Monday, Sept. 5.
In addition to a full day of fun, a variety of opportunities to save money on a visit to the park are still available.
Now through Labor Day, the park is offering Pick-A-Date tickets that allow guests to pick a specific date to visit the park and save $12 per ticket. Tickets can be used on a different date with an upgrade.
There is also the Pay Once Visit Twice discount when guests can purchase admission tickets valid any two days through Oct. 30 for only $69.99, a savings of $14.99 per ticket. (Tickets must be used by the same person and do not have to be used on consecutive days.) Tickets must be purchased by Sunday, Sept. 11.
Cedar Fair Platinum Pass and Season Passholders at Cedar Point can also take advantage of Bring-A-Friend Sundays and save $30 on a ticket purchased at the park this Sunday, Sept. 4. And on Fridays nights, Sept. 9 through Oct. 28, students (kindergarten through college) can save $5 on a ticket.
Even more savings are available to guests who stay at one of the park’s resort properties through Sunday, Sept. 4 and can purchase one-day tickets for only $29, a savings of $20.99 per ticket. Resort guests also qualify for Early Entry and can enter the park one hour before it opens to the public.
This Labor Day Weekend, guests will also be able to enjoy a good-old-fashion picnic at the park’s lakeside Coral Courtyard. The Picnic at the Point will feature fried chicken, hot dogs, Johnsonville Brats, potato salad, baked beans, baked rigatoni, cookies, and ice-cold Pepsi beverages. The meal will be served from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday (Sept. 4). Tickets can be purchased online at cedarpoint.com or at the park’s admission gates.
After Labor Day, the park will hold several special events. Cedar Point will host the Revolution 3 Triathlon on Sunday, Sept. 11. The event will consist of a full triathlon and a half triathlon. From Wednesday through Sunday, Sept 14-18, the 39th annual North American In-Water Boat Show will be held in the Cedar Point Marina. It is the largest in-water boat show on the Great Lakes.
Beginning Friday, Sept. 16, HalloWeekends will return for the 15th year. With haunted houses, scary outdoor attractions and special activities for the younger ones, HalloWeekends 15 has something for everyone. Complementing this vast array of Halloween attractions will be the park’s unmatched collection of rides, roller coasters and entertainment.
PointFest, the contemporary Christian music concert, will return for the third year on Saturday, Sept. 17th. Headlining the show will be TobyMac and Skillet. Combo tickets for the concert and Cedar Point are available at www.cedarpoint.com.
