Cedar Point Press Release

SANDUSKY, Ohio, July 31, 2012 — Woodstock has landed! After years of the PEANUTS gang entertaining folks around Cedar Point’s midways without their feathered friend, Woodstock has finally joined his best friend Snoopy at the “Best Amusement Park in the World!”

Woodstock’s arrival coincides with the start of “PEANUTS Be Yourself Week,” a week-long initiative aimed at reminding people to be proud of who they are and assisting Snoopy’s and Woodstock’s friends at the Humane Society of Erie County.

All this week, any guest who donates a new animal care product, including, but not limited to, food, toys, food dishes, and brushes, will receive a coupon good for $15 off the purchase of a regular adult admission ticket (some restrictions apply), which can be used for the duration of the event (Monday, July 30, through Sunday, Aug. 5).

Special coloring pages will be given out to kids from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Planet Snoopy each day to promote Woodstock’s arrival. Woodstock might even swing by while kids color, so be on the lookout!

Beginning at the conclusion of “PEANUTS Be Yourself Week” on Sunday, Aug. 5, will be the first Woodstock’s Kids Free Sunday. Any adult or Senior (guests age 62 and older) who presents a valid, unused paid admission ticket to Cedar Point will be able to bring a Junior guest in for FREE! (Some restrictions apply. Juniors are guests ages 3-61 who are under 48″ tall in shoes.) This offer is valid on all Sundays through Sept. 2, 2012.

Cedar Point will be open daily through Labor Day, Sept. 3, plus Friday nights, Saturdays and Sundays, Sept. 7 through Oct. 28. For a complete operating calendar and more information about the 2012 operating season, guests can log on to www.cedarpoint.com or call the park’s general information line at (419) 627-2350.
