GateKeeper track sections begin arriving at Cedar Point

Vertical construction expected to begin in November.

The first track sections for Cedar Point's new roller coaster, GateKeeper, arrived at the park on Tuesday.

Marketing Programs Representative Annie Zelm told WKYC that shipments will continue to arrive daily throughout November. The track is being fabricated in Batavia, Ohio by Clermont Steel.

Over the last few weeks, workers have dug nearly 200 footers for the ride's foundation. That work has recently expanded into a portion of the park's main parking lot.
