CoasterMania 2001 details announced

Cedar Point will hold its annual CoasterMania event on June 1 for members of any established coaster club. The schedule looks like this:

  • 6:30 a.m. - Registration begins at main gate. If you are not a season pass holder, you may purchase a ticket for $28.
  • 8-10 a.m. - Exclusive ride time (ERT) on Mantis, Raptor and Blue Streak.
  • 10:30-11 a.m. and Noon to 1 p.m. - Intamin reps will give a presentation in the Convention Center with a Q&A session about Millennium Force. Seating is limited.
  • 2-3:30 p.m. - Free food in the Point Pavilion. Yes, it's weiners again!
  • 8:30-11 p.m. - ERT on Magnum.
  • 9 to 11:30 p.m. - ERT on Millennium Force. This event also includes free food in the form of swarming midges. Mmmmm... protein!

A photo contest will also be held, and your subject must be Millennium Force. No on-ride photos, please. Drop off your snap at the mall office (left of the main gate) before noon.
