Bill would make CP police reports public

Bill would require Cedar Point Police and other private police forces to make records available under Ohio’s public records laws.

Two Ohio state representatives are looking to require private police departments, including Cedar Point Police, to make their reports public.

If passed, House Bill 429 would amend sections 149.43 and 149.45 of the Revised Code to make records kept by private police departments subject to the Public Records Law.
