SANDUSKY, Ohio (May 19, 2014) – Cedar Point will celebrate fun in the sun during Memorial Day weekend with two great events. The park will be paying tribute to members of the military with Armed Forces Weekend while the return of Soak City means there is never a better time to “Get to the Point!”

Cedar Point kicks off its Memorial Day festivities with Armed Forces Weekend. In honor of the men and women who have served and continue to protect our country, all active, retired and honorably-discharged members of the United States Armed Forces will receive free admission into Cedar Point, Friday through Monday, May 23-26, with a valid ID. (Valid forms of ID include: active duty ID, retired personnel ID, VA ID or a copy of DD-214 discharge papers and photo ID.) Family members also receive a special discount on park admission by purchasing a regular ticket priced at $38.99. That’s a savings of $21 off the regular admission price! (This offer is only available at any park admission booth.)

The best way to top off a fun-filled family getaway is with Soak City, Cedar Point’s splashtacular waterpark. Opening May 24, Soak City offers 18 acres of fun for the whole family, including over 30 slides and attractions perfect for the young and the young-at-heart. Choo-Choo Lagoon and Splash Zone highlight just some of the areas for young children, while Dragster H20 and Zoom Flume are perfect for thrill-seekers of any age. Members of the military can also receive free admission into Soak City, Saturday through Monday, May 24-26. Soak City is open from May 24 to September 1.
