Ticket to Ride scaled back

Thursday, 13 July 2000

According to a report filed by Cleveland's NewsChannel5, Ticket to Ride will stick around for awhile, but it now operates only from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., a reduction from the previously established ending time of 8 p.m. This system is significantly more fair than the longer period of time, which kept evening visitors (with season passes or Starlight admissions) from riding until after 8 p.m.

The thing I don't understand is why certain sectors of the media (like NewsChannel5) continue to make statements like, "For those who enjoy waiting three hours in line..." Millennium Force has rarely been more than a two-hour wait with three trains running. What happened to journalism?
