Red Cross mini-golf fund-raiser slated for May 10

Tuesday, 11 April 2000

Whip out your checkbook and your putter... it's time to mini-golf! The ninth annual American Red Cross Miniature Golf Challenge will again be held at Cedar Point's Challenge Golf on May 10, from about 4 to 8 p.m.

The tourney is a four-person, 36-hole scramble with a shotgun start at 4:30 p.m. Enter your team of four for $100, or latch on to a team for $25 per person. Compete in a skins game for another $10 per team. The top three teams will get loot.

If your putting is not up to par (pun intended) with others, do cheer us on anyway, and purchase three raffle tickets for $5. That puts you in the running for a stay at a Breakers Tower Horizon Suite. That means in-room Jacuzzi, baby! The winner will stay in the suite the night of June 3, and they'll hook you up with four park admissions.

Guide to The Point is proud to sponsor two teams in this year's event. We dig local charities, and hope you'll support this effort as well. You can pick-up sign-up sheets and raffle tickets at the American Red Cross office in Sandusky at 300 Central Ave, or call (419)626-1641 for more information.
