Magnum, Raptor and park win top honors again in polls

Tuesday, 28 March 2000

A Cedar Point press release today said that Magnum XL-200 was named "favorite steel coaster in the world" while Raptor secured the number two position in a survey conducted by the National Amusement Park Historical Association (NAPHA). This is the ninth consecutive year for Magnum at the number one steel spot, while Raptor climbs from third place, surpassing Kennywood's Steel Phantom (which will be dismantled after this year). The survey has been conducted since 1986.

Also, readers of Family Fun magazine have again voted the park "top amusement park in the Midwest for families."
