Cedar Point nails Golden Ticket Awards again

Amusement Today released their second annual Golden Ticket Awards where Cedar Point again nailed the Best Park category. In the steel coaster race, Magnum retained its #1 status while Raptor landed #6. Through some freak of nature, even Mean Streak managed to pull off #18 in the best wood category.

Coming as no surprise to the season pass holder, Cedar Point was also the recipient of the Best Capacity award, taking the title by an astonishing 40%. Watching the crews of Raptor and Magnum get people on and off rides is like watching a finely-tuned machine. Of course, if Mantis continues to stack trains, they might just lose that title!

Without much time before the survey, the coaster we've adopted, Superman: Ride of Steel, managed to score tenth place in the steel coaster category, perhaps indicating a stronger finish next year. The ride is Intamin's first serious hypercoaster, and built similarly to Millennium Force.
