Official Coastermania'99 details released

The official details of Coastermania'99, being held on June 4, have been released and as reported earlier on CP Place, Ron Toomer, formerly of Arrow Dynamics and designer of Magnum, will be the guest speaker. Toomer's presentation will be held in the Cedar Point Ballroom at 10 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Toomer will also entertain questions.

Exclusive ride time (ERT) will be held for Mantis and Raptor from 7 to 9 a.m., Mean Streak from 10:30 p.m. to midnight, and Magnum from 11 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Ripcord will be offering discount flights at a rate of $8 per person from 9 a.m. to noon, and $10 per person from from noon to 4 p.m.

Chicken, hot dogs and other delicacies will be served in the Point Pavilion from 2 to 3:30 p.m. for all attendees.

A Magnum photography contest will be held this day as well. Submit your photo to the Mall Office (left-hand side of the admission gates) by noon. Winners will be announced during lunch.

Coastermania events are open to all card-carrying members of coaster/theme park clubs and organizations. Tickets will be available for $22.50 (if you don't have a Cedar Fair season pass), and you may purchase additional tickets for up to three non-members of such organizations.
